We walked from Monument down to the Thames where off in the distance was the very impressive site of Tower Bridge. It’s a beautiful walk along the Thames heading towards the bridge. It’s such an impressive site steeped in history along side the Tower of London. We walked under it the walked over it, it was well worth the effort. You can go over by bus, or get a boat and go under it, the choice is yours!

My husband and I walk our way through the Tower Bridge. It was a beautiful bridge with a view of river thames.

You will find restaurants on both side of the river so you will not get hungry:-)

The history in this place is amazing, walking across the top and taking a photo looking down was really good for young children.

The Tower Bridge in London was a great experience. Especially the walkways across the top between the towers with a section of glass flooring to look down.
Those who have a London Pass can skip the long lines and head straight into the tower bridge. The entrance is via the South Tower for all visitors and there are a lot of stairs to the top if the lift isn’t working in the Southern Tower like the day we arrived. There is a lift in the north tower for those in wheelchairs.
Don’t forget to check out the engine rooms just a few minutes walk from the South Tower which shows how the bridge would raise to allow passing ships.
Very informative and a great experience.
