It was a half term day trip to London with my grand-daughter on a damp drizzly day and it would appear that many others had the same idea. Despite having to queue for over an hour it was a worth-while attraction that was not only a treat but educational for adults and children. If you are making the Aquarium the focus of your day I would recommend you book tickets in advance.

It's so small in there so became over crowded quickly, not pram friendly at all. Really overpriced I really wouldn't recommend going there.
The most saddest thing I saw was the poor penguins, they give you a big description of all these wonderful things they do to keep the penguins in there natural environment with the temperatures and lighting etc then you go round the corner to see them and they are just in a small glass tank with dodgy paintings on the wall to look like the Antarctic it was so cruel I can't stop thinking about them. I would never go back and give them my money again.

We enjoyed this aquarium. There is a large variety of fish. The tanks were clean. They take pictures going in and you have the option to purchase, It was very crowded but we waited patiently to see the tanks up close. The penquins are cute.

Had heard much about London Aquarium and had wanted to visit for ages. Took grandkids.
Not easy to get to along embankment as kiosk and restaurant tables/roped off area created a pinch-point, which was particularly difficult with so many umbrellas in the pouring rain.
Purchased tickets on line, but couldn't use 'buy one, get one free' offer on Kellogs cereals. Got in reasonably quickly, and had expected huge tanks.
There were many tanks and lots to see, but the one main tank was viewed from all angles, and that was it. Tunnel under was somewhat shorter than expected - felt somewhat underwhelmed.
Glad to see the conservation and breeding programmes, but overall seemed very expensive compared to say London Zoo.
Won't rush back.

This was a really poor excuse for an Aquarium. The tanks were small and crowded, as was the building itself. We went as soon as it opened and got round comfortably in 45 minutes, however if you wanted to go in the afternoon during peak times I imagine it would take you a lot longer - due to the queuing!! It was extremely expensive for what it is, I have been to a number of aquariums and this was by far the worst. There are two main tanks which you have windows to throughout the trip, clearly designed to make it seem like there are multiple exhibits but in reality it's only two. The number of large sharks in one tank is really quite concerning. The highlight is apparently the penguins. If you like seeing 20 penguins in a sorry little tank with peeling walls, no fresh air and no ice at all, in a space about the size of an average jacuzzi, then this place is for you. There are also the most incredible number of money spinning, penny draining, nag inducing gimmicks all the way around, from face painting to penny pressing to green screen photo imposing, none of which you (or your kids) can avoid. Furthermore I was amazed at the constant barrage of information about how Sea Life London supports conservation and the protection of animals. You just have to look at those poor poor penguins to see through the marketing ploy. I was extremely disappointed to have wasted our time at this venue, and would strongly urge anyone considering visiting their family to think twice. There are many wonderful sights to see in London, give this one a miss!!
