I stop and see something new in the BM every time I get a chance. This time I was showing around a friend from abroad, so we made sure to see all the usual highlights. He wasn't disappointed, and boggled a bit at how unfathomably old some of the things are!
The Shakespeare special exhibit was on, and while I've never gone to one of the special exhibits before, I really wanted to see this one. It was worth the £12 (£14 if you're not a student); very well put-together and informative with a lot of context for all Shakespeare's works. The final piece, bringing it up to the modern day, was a copy of the Complete Works that had made the rounds in a Cape Town prison, where Nelson Mandela and others marked off their favourite lines and verses--stunning and humbling to see what some had written.
