Something new. Things for every taste. Quite accessible to the public. Had a more than enjoyable time there with other people that were also very amazed by it. 100% recommended.

“Mesopotamia & Assyria collections that are unique in the world”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

There are many great museums of history in the world in which you can see Greek and Roman history. What separates the British Museum from the others is not only the vast size and quality of its collections but that it is one of the best if not the best (I haven`t yet visited Louvre) places to see the history of Mesopotamia and Assyria come alive. One of the best are the carvings depicting war, which brings to life the known brutality of the Assyrians. The lion hunt-scenes are astonishing, as are the ones depicting kings.

To sum it up, this museum is one HUGE book which brings history to life. Highly recommended if you visit London!

“Egyptian Mummies Exhibition”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Our visit took place on Saturday 7th June and we paid to see the exhibition of the Egyptian mummies which was a personal 'must see' for me. It was awesome knowing that the mummies had been scanned so that additional detail could be seen. Incredible exhibition which I would recommend to anyone with an interest in Egypt's past. Also spent time viewing the beautiful Asian relics. Had a great time the only downside was the queue for the ladies toilets - don't think as many wash basins are necessary maybe ditch about 4 of them and replace with 4 more loos? Otherwise a great day out, well done London!

“Viking exhibition too crowded”
Reviewed 20 June 2014 via mobile

My wife is a fan of all things Viking so this was a must see exhibition. Unfortunately a big disappointment, mainly because they have crammed too many people in at a time. We shuffled round in a large crowd which made it very difficult to see things and read the descriptions. Yes there were some stunning artefacts and had there been 75% fewer people trying to get a look at them it would have been fine. At £16.50 each we felt it was poor value, and we would be very wary of booking any further specials at the museum if this is typical.

“One of the best museum in the world”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

With extensive things to see, you really need hours to spend here. Staffs were friendly, they helped me find the section easily.
No admission fee but you must pay for special exhibition.
Must visit when you're in London.
Nearest tube station: Holborn.
