This is a great museum of history! You need a whole day to get through it! The Egyptian collection was the best for me!

Loved it!
Some fascinating exhibitions with so much to look at. Some parts very busy, but visted on a bank holiday so was expected.
Free admission but left a donation.

Will certainly visit again as there is so much we didn't see!!

“The whole world in one place.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

PRO TIP: Avoid going during school hours. Once the kiddos wrap up their field trips, you can whiz through the museum and see all the amazing things it has to offer.

EXPERIENCE: I love free museums. Sort of. As a college student studying abroad, I visited every single free museum in London and appreciated them very much. Though, paying for the special exhibit at the British museum is always worth it. They have world-class exhibitions pass through their doors and the high quality displays are always stunning for every age.

This particular museum is fun because there are artifacts from all over the world. It is a nice place for a rainy day on a budget.

“Short visit to British Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

On a recent trip to London for afternoon tea and a visit to the theatre we had an hour or so to spend in the British Museum. Obviously we needed a whole day there but we managed to the get around the Egyptian, American and Mexican rooms to get a flavour. We will definitely be going back to spend the day, and although it was very busy there is every opportunity to linger at items of particular interest.

“A gem not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014 via mobile

The great British Museum is a must, not to be missed by visitors to London. What more it is free but worth much, much more than other iconic places that charge entrance fees. It is so huge with astounding collections from all over the world that one may actually need days to cover especially for history lovers. It is more like a world museum rather than a museum about Britain. No long queues to enter, it is not too crowded although there could be quite a crowd at popular exhibitions but you could leisurely walk around at your own pace without the pressure of having to move on quickly because there are people behind you, have tea at its open, outdoor like cafe with very large sitting area or browse around at its splendid souvenir shops.
