“Fantastic place of history!”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 via mobile

I have been here so any times, I've lost count!! It is such a huge place, so much to see, and so much to take in! They have such a variety of things to see, even the unimaginable! My favourite exhibit/hall is the Egyptians. Overall it is such a fantastic place. Plus the gift shop isn't expensive either!

“Never lets me down”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

One of those attractions in London that are perfect for a rainy day (actually also for a sunny day, but we have fewer of those). The BM collection is really good and they always have interesting exhibitions on. We went to see the Egyptian collection, which is one of the best I've ever seen.

If you want, you could spend days in the British Museum, so be sure to make a selection in your head of what you really want to see. Or, come back several times :)

It's one of those musea that I could always go to, it will never let me down.

“Mummies”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

Fascinating exhibition. As a member of the British museum I can get into all the exhibitions without paying extra (well worth doing). I've seen this one 3 times and learn something new each visit. I loved the interactive videos and although a small exhibition it was easy to navigate and not too crowded.

“British Museum - with and without children”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

Despite its ancient contents, this is the London museum that - to me - feels most modern and fresh.

I've taken groups of children and done a sleepover with my daughter. All age groups - even sulky teens! - found something to amaze them. Having said that, it's perhaps best to keep visits short and focused - before heading for the very pleasant cafe!

It's also a perfect venue for browsing and ambling with friends - bright, airy, good exhibitions, and straightforward information written in plain English (rather than the pretentious signage at galleries like the Tate).

Particularly good are the Assyrian, Egyptian and Aztec rooms
