Stayed in a suite which had its own entrance. The suite was spacious and well equipped. This was a home from home with the added benefit of hotel service. Would recommend this hotel for its location, the rooms and the efficient staff.

We booked to stay here via Lastminue.com as a mystry hotel, but were pleased witht he price and the hotel when we found out where it was. We were given a room up the road in house 3, rather than in the hotel, not sure if this was due to the price we paidd for it. But it would have been nicee to stay in the hotel with the surroundings rather than round the corner and up the road.
The rooms was large and very clean, with a very comfortable bed and I liked the fact that you could change the pillows if you wished.
The only issue we had was that other people who were staying in the house obviously had no thought for anyone else staying there and the doors slammed at 4am when they came home and then continually from about 8am onwards. Perhaps the hotel could invest in some soft door closers, as this was the only downside of the whole stay.
Nice that there are complimentary soft drinks and snacks in the room and that you don't have to check out until 12 noon

Superb boutique hotel in the heart of Mayfair, near some of the best restaurants in London and handy for Harvey Nics etc. Stayed in a quiet room looking over Down Street at the side of the hotel. Room was spotless, spacious and beautifully decorated - furnishings looked new. Lemonade at check-in was a delight after the drive up. Staff were friendly, courteous and efficient from check-in to check-out. Everything worked well. Couldn't ask for more.

Room Tip: Down Street side is quiet, away from the bustle of Picadilly at the front of the hotel. Don't m...

To celebrate our wedding anniversary we took advantage of the hotels ‘spring suites’ offer and booked into a Green Park Suite for 2 nights. Upon arrival at the hotel we discovered that there would be a slight delay of 20 minutes before our suite was ready so we were offered complimentary drinks in the lounge bar whilst we waited. The fact that we arrived a full 2 hours before check in time never came into it. When the room was available we were escorted to it by the delightful Cora she showed us how the various things like how the hi-tech air conditioning and lighting control worked, the Nespresso coffee machine, mini bar, safe etc. Our first impression of the suite was ‘Wow’ beautiful décor, spacious(for London) and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was amazing with a huge walk in shower. As part of our special room rate the entire contents of the mini bar was complementary including alcohol. There was a good range of products to suit everyone’s tastes. If you wanted more items then you simply picked up the phone and asked for them. There was even a freezer with ice cubes and tubs of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, again all complementary. Wi-Fi access was fast and again complementary. The TV had a good choice of UK ‘freeview’ channels along with Sky Sports 1,2 &3. There was also a limited number of foreign language channels. In addition to this there were pay per view movies , radio, internet and games all available from the TV. Reception has a selection of DVD’s as an alternative to the PPV movies. The room was very quiet despite the close proximity of Piccadilly and the bed was very comfortable with a good choice of pillows available.
Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of continental foods, yoghurts, cereals, pastries and full English, pricey at £27 each but this was included in our rate.
Unfortunately there was no availability for us to have afternoon tea in the restaurant but never mind we had it in our suite instead! All I can say is that the reviews do not do it justice. It was FANTASTIC. Simply a must, the afternoon tea is very popular (not surprising as it is that good) so book early or be prepared to have it in your room/suite.
Overall, this is the best hotel that we have stayed in in London.

Lovely boutique hotel, very small rooms. would stay here again but hopefully in a room with a larger bed, the small Queen was a bit small for my 6'4 husband and myself 5'8.

Great restaurants within walking distance at Shepards Market.

We were astounded by our stay in the Athenaeum Hotel last night. I had researched hotels in London thoroughly before deciding upon this hotel to celebrate both my partner's birthday and my 5 month old son's first trip away. I expected it to be very good but there was no preparing for just how good a place can be. This place is very, very special.
To start, the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming and accommodating for our family. Every staff member we met had a genuine, friendly and warm nature (Serena, Zsofia.... and many others who I do not recall their names).
It really was as they profess to be 'a home from home'. As many would appreciate it is not easy travelling to London with a young baby, but this hotel made it a total pleasure. Given its close proximity to London Victoria it is possible to walk to the Hotel with a buggy and luggage. The room was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. It suited all of our needs..and more. We were made to feel special by some personal touches by the staff team (to include; a birthday card and cake for my partner, complimentary treats/drinks and toys to entertain our son). The kids concierge were excellent. We took advantage of the room service menu to eat in whilst our son slept and the food was fantastic.

I feel this Hotel is more than worthy of its 5 stars and I will be recommending it to all friends, family and colleagues travelling to London.

There was nothing that could have made this stay any better for us. I have no suggestions for improvements to make. It was perfect.

Room Tip: Park view rooms are fantastic. Fully soundproofed - you do not hear a sound from Piccadilly traffic...

Gem of a hotel- intimate atmosphere in view of the surprisingly large number of rooms- excellent doorman and concierge- delightful relaxing bar- well designed bed room and gorgeous bathroom- attention to detail eg toiletries, particularly appreciated. Great position. Punchy price for breakfast at £27 each- didn't take.
