went today 10 mins after opening and was already a 15 min queue , so would recommend getting there early as when I left at 1pm the queue was well over an hr long , and then you have to queue again to see the dinosaurs.
Was impressed by the museum itself , could have stayed a lot longer , loved the animals and the dino exhibits , will return in the future.

Dropping our older ones off, we took our 2 and 5 year olds to the Natural History Museum. They absolutely loved it especially the Dinosaurs but also the ecology section. It is too crowded going during the summer holidays although they coped well. But they were really interested and there is a good kids activity book as well. Loved seeing my little ones, especially the 5 year old curious about science and the natural world. When we were there they had a false fire alarm go off and the lack of information was frustrating in terms of announcements. Its also took an extra 10 minute delay to get their staff back in position once e all clear had been given which felt like it could have been better organised. At times they could also manage the flow of people better. Still a good day around and would recommend a visit for children of a variety of ages. The cafe had an interesting set of salads etc although unsurprising was expensive. I hate the fact that they make you walk through the Gift Shop to get to it though and the service wasn't great - asking for a fork apparently is a big problem!

We went to show our 2 sons the big dinosaur. Yes it's free to enter, great as that's all we saw & all we wanted to see. Queue to get in was huge, but we then went to the side entrance where we walked straight in. Trying to find the dinosaur we walked through several crowds of people, it was so hot in there I felt I'll and was desperate to get out! Avoid this place on a warm day and during the summer holidays!
