My husband treated me to 2 nights at the Savoy as a birthday treat. From the minute we arrived, it was fantastic. We were immediately greeted on arrival, given a tour of the hotel and then shown to our room, which was beautiful. It had a view of the London eye and the attention to detail was second to none.
When we returned back after spending the afternoon sight seeing, a birthday cake was in our room, which had not been ordered.
Breakfast and dinner was gorgeous and the staff were attentive without being "over the top"
We also must mention the flowers which were stunning in all the public areas.
We made use of the pool, which was heated and very comfortable.
The only down side was that we were booked into the Savoy Grill for my actual birthday, unfortunately there was a power cut on August 1st which meant that we could not eat there. However, on check out my husband was offered a reimbursement which he said was more than adequate and he did not seek it either.
In all, we had a lovely time and are determined to come back.
Thanks to all of you for making our stay so very special.

What a lovely birthday treat and we are glad you liked the cake! We are very sorry about the sudden power failure, but it was an external fault that was beyond our control. Luckily it didn't seem to spoil the overall enjoyment of your visit, and we hope to welcome you both again to The Savoy very soon.

Having waited some two years to see the new look Savoy, you have to admire the sheer quality of the refurbishment. If you know the hotel, as you enter the foyer you have to ask yourself "What has changed?" The new look is amazing subtle, but works beautifully. The dowager duchess is new the new "duchess" on the block. Stunning. What is so clever is that the "boys" of the door are the same as before, so their is a sense of "coming home."

Once you start walking around the place do you see the changes, but everything works as if it has always been there. It is VERY very clever. If I were to be archly critical I think the "buy by the metre" art does let the show down. All the art looks like it is still wet and fake. Still, I must dilute the quality of the "duchess."

I met a old friend with the intent of enjoying a gossip over a glass of champagne, and stayed for lunch. The foyer is attentively served and the ice cold Louis Roderer, delicious. I ask if there was a table in the River Room, sadly to be told that everything was fully booked. Fifteen minutes later the charming hostess said she had a table free.

However much may have been spent of the transformation, it is the staff that really make the differente. Everyone we met - which were truly an international mix - were so passionate about the hotel and offered the FINEST service I have received form all my travels around the world.

As for lunch - DELICIOUS. We had the set lunch which offered such things as foie gras. Eveything was well presented and delicious. Meanwhile the staff continued to be the real stars of the show.

I think we finally left the hotel some four hours later, with many happy menorie. On my next visit to London, I will be checking in at the hotel. For sure. Good luck.

I was so impressed I wrote to the General Manager. he must be a very busy man, but true to form, a charming personal reply was received with 24 hours. This is hotel keeping at its very best.

Do go. A wonderful place to forget the realities of the real world. An escape and worth every pound.

Very pleasant evening spent relaxing after a busy working day! The newly refurbed Savoy is a delight. Although my room was quite small (single) it still provided an elegant and luxury feel room service was a true delight you will love the fresh lobster baguette although priced at £26 it was a treat!! Prices are rather steep but there you go it's the Savoy!!

Our experience at the Savoy was great but not outstanding. My biggest complaint was that they didn't have any bedrails for kids. It wasn't that they were all used up, which happens at hotels, but rather they just didn't have them. Even much cheaper hotels have bed rails. I figured it they didn't they would run out and get some (they can't cost that much) but they didn't offer to do that. Second when we returned after a long day the power was out in the entire hotel. This meant that the bathroom was pitch dark in the lobby. On the flip side the pool was magnificient and was one of the only pools to be heated sufficiently.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and we have noted your comment about the bedrails. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenienced caused by the sudden and unexpected power failure that occured during your stay. Although the team worked hard to rectify the situation, the incident was unfortunately an external fault and beyond our control. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family to The Savoy again in the near future.

We stayed here last week on our final days in Europe. We had heard a lot and to be honest, expected a lot. They did not disappoint! From the minute we drove up Savoy Court and experienced the greeting by the doormen we knew it was money well spent. They do not have a reception as such and we were able to check in online in our suite.

Initial impressions of the foyer are amazing, supremely decorated and you know you have stepped into an extremely special building. There was a young woman there to greet us and show us to our quarters.

I cannot begin to put the entire experience into words. It is a must do experience and should not be missed out by anyone that is able to do it.

The bed was not only comfortable but exquisite. Linen entirely designed for the Savoy and soft.

We think that they have replaced the carpets already since they opened which again reinforces the value for money and adds to the experience.

Having after drinks in the Beaufort Bar is something you cannot miss out on either and Shannon and her team are there to wait on you hand and foot for your every need.

We had a chat with the security team and even they had a keen interest in the hotel, it's history and place in London and gave us a tour of some of the private rooms on their security rounds.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough to anybody. Outstanding.

Stayed at the hotel for just one night when traveling through London and was delighted with an upgrade to gorgeous suite with butler service. Room had stunning views over the Thames with incredible views. Room was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Butler service exceptional - only wished I was staying longer! I have stayed at the hotel a number of times in the past but this was only second time since the refurbishment - its truly exceptional and I highly recommend if you want real luxury in London.

Have not stayed at The Savoy (yet!) but have enjoyed at few drinks at the American bar and The Beaufort Bar.
The Beaufort Bar is absolutely STUNNING! The gorgeous gold and black alcoves with the bar on the old stage makes the bar very theatrical.
The drinks menu has a good selection of cocktails with a twist on the classics. The champagne, wine and spirits list is large and has all that you could ask for. All drinks on the list are of very good quality as you would expect from this kind of establishment eg Tanqueray, Hendricks, Grey Goose, Belvedere etc.
We had The Gilded Cage - two cocktails served in a birdcage, delicious mix of gin and champagne with a hint of berries - this was £26. A glass of Pol Roger is £19.50, expensive but very very nice. Bar snacks consisted of olives, nuts etc - all very nice!
The ambiance of the bar was wonderfully slighty old school retro, man on the piano playing the old classics and even a birthday dedication to me!
Definitely a place for a special occasion. Staff were all wonderful and spoilt you rotten.
There is a 12.5% service charge on top of the bill as you would expect. But I wouldn't go here everyday - celebrating a special occasion DEFINITELY!
