Was expecting this to be a big market but was really nothing to write home about . May have been because we went during the week. Will give it a miss next time

I had high expectations of this market, but was so disappointed when we got there. It was within walking distance of our hotel, and one of our group wanted too purchase a leather jacket, she got a good bargain eventually, but first stall/price was £110 and were very pushy, we said we were looking at other options, walked 25 yards too the next stall and got the same jacket for £60. So our advice is shop around and barter hard. The rest of the market was bright Gordy clothing, cheap n tatty, with the odd gem if you could be bothered too look. The most looked screwed up, creased n were not presented very well. There was no atmosphere for the stall holders as we expected, and it was just stall after stall of clothes, bags, shoes n tat. The one gem we found was a leather goods belt stall, the owner shortened our purchase too fit hubby's waist and was pleasant and had a smile. So as said on other reviews don't waste your time, other markets are better brick lane, portobello road.

Don’t waste any tourist time walking through this market. Most of what I saw was rubbish. Cheap, I’m sure, but nothing special at all. There are so much better markets nearby like Spitalfields and Brick Lane. The only reason to walk down the street would be if you wait until the market is closed and check which letters are still painted on the shop shutters by the street artist Ben Eine.

I was amazed at how many vendors there were, factory outlet style.. many clothes from high end shops like topshop etc. Got super deals on clothes. a great place just to walk around and browse and take in the atmosphere
