We visited London over spring break with our children (4 and 5). The kids LOVED the Golden Hinde - it was basically a giant, life sized ship for them to play on. The kids spent around 45 minutes playing everywhere, and it was such a hit we had to come back two days in a row. It was REALLY cold on both of the days we went (snowing, in the 30's), so we had the run of the boat. The staff were really, really nice and friendly (even though they were standing outside in the freezing cold, with the wind and snow blowing off the Thames) and also really knowledgable about the ship and Sir Francis Drake. I would highly recommend it!

We remember the snow days, thank you for braving the weather to visit The Golden Hinde! We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. It's great to hear the children enjoyed themselves so much you had to return the next day. Our staff are troupers and they do a fantastic job in all types of weather.

Visited the ship with our family and the guided tour was excellent. The ship is an exact replica of the original and is a working ship that has sailed around the world. All specs are of period. The guided tour was very informative and our guide kept it interesting for all ages and included kids in some of his guide. There is also a treasure hunt for the kids so arrive a few minutes early you’ll love it.

We visited this as we were in the area and it was on the London Pass. We caught a guided tour, with a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Really opened our eyes about what daily life on the ship was like and how the ship was used during battles. Not a must-see attraction for me, but worth a quick stop if one's interested. Be ready to bend over on the lower decks as they are quite low.

What a great experience. Makes you wonder how a vessel as small as this could have sailed round the world with about 60 men on it. Well worth a visit. The guide we spoke to was great at answering our questions.

Went to see it as we were in the area. Thought it was a replica just for viewing then discovered it had sailed 100,000 miles - including circumnavigating the world and various other trips which is amazing. My wife is 5ft 2ins (Elizabethan sailors were on average 5ft 6ins) and she struggled with the low headroom (I had no chance being 6ft 5ins tall). How a crew of 60 survived in such a small space is mind-blowing. Really appreciate what Sir Francis and crew achieved. Well worth a visit - and concessions available.
