“Totally worth it, great hotel, great location......5 Star”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2011

The word around London was that since the re-opening of the hotel, it has been talked about and attracted many regular guests from other London hotels.

So why not give it a try.

Location, you just cant ask for more, if your drive, easy, if you take a cab from either big stations, easy, underground, easy.

Arrival was smooth, comfortable, and genuine, too many people in other places are not very natuaral and the welcome looks and feels fake. From the doormen, to the receptionist, to even the duty manager.

The new look is great, very class with a touch of modern way. My room was on the 7th floor with a few of London Eye and Big Ben (what more could you ask for). Everything you expected from a 5 star hotel

Used the spa and had a treatment, which was just great, now what I liked with this spa...it was on the roof top, most hotels around the world have a great spa but in the basement, leaving the top floors to all the top vip in their suits. Here, everyone gets the chance to experience the views of london!!

We returned to Four Seasons after they went for a 2 year remodellation. Love what they did, modern and elegant. They did the best possible job with small rooms, cant do anything different to improve there size. Ypu have a great luxury hotel with small rooms.

The long awaited reopening of FS Park Lane did not disappoint. The sophisticated and elegant decor in the public rooms and restaurant was matched by the level of amenities and comfort in the room, in my case a Premier Room with a French balcony. The dressing room is a welcome and very useful new addition which is sadly lacking in most other modern or refurbished hotels. The bathroom, whilst fairly compact, is more than adequate with a nice walk in shower which has both a rain shower and wall mounted hand shower. Toiletries are of a high quality brand and you certainly get that pampered feeling. The room facilities are all up to the minute without being complicated to operate, unlike many other high tech hotels.
Having just opened, service was provided in a well meaning manner, if a little patchy. Staff were at all times eager to help and enthusiastic.
A nice additional touch was the Rolls Royce complimentary service for short trips around the West End.
I found the restaurant both in quality of food and service to be excellent. It is also a lovely room with much natural light streaming in, overlooking a little courtyard.
Perhaps one small additional touch could be a nice flower arrangement in the lobby as can be found at other FS hotels such as Paris and Istanbul.

arrived in london to meet my partner for the weekend. after an overnight flight arrived at the hotel at noon.. our suite was not ready.. front desk told me 10 minutes. i felt that i might have to wait longer when less than ten minutes later a cheerful front desk attendant informed me the suite was ready... i was so happy! our westminister suite was very elegantly appointed.. the designer furnishings and equipment were truly first rate although the suite was a little smaller than i had expected ( we chose it over the smaller mayfair suite which stated it offered a better view but was £500 more a night- quite a difference for a smaller room and how good could the view be anyways??)
we requested a high floor because knowing the location of the hotel (we stayed there years ago) i thought a higher floor would give us a better city view which indeed it did.. our view was towards the river and the millenium wheel and i must admit at night the panorama was magical! we were offered fresh fruit and mineral water but i cant understand why when you pay £ 1100 a night they dont include free internet.. i would rather send back the fruit and pay for the mineral water in exchange for free internet!!!
we had lunch and after dinner drinks one night at the restaurant and both the meal and the service was perfect... we were also pleasantly surprised with the offer (to guests of suites only ) of a chauffeur drive Rolls Royce Ghost to take us to Harrods... all compliments of the hotel... or anywhere in a 2 mile radius... we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return... it is a great location central to everything.

London previously never had a good and solid 5 star hotel, all the 5 star hotels in london were either 4 star compared to other cities around the world or they had the worst interior, furniture and bathrooms a guest can get in a hotel!!!

Fortunately now, The Four Seasons Park Lane has taken london hotels to a new level and raised the bar for hotels in london if they want to compete with the four seasons....

I can't say enough about the quality of the interior, it's just great... The smell of brand new carpets and furniture throughout the public area of the hotel all the way to the rooms... it is just fresh to come from the bustling streets of London to a fresh place like the four seasons....

the service from the doormen is exceptional all the way to the concierge and front desk...

I would give the management an Bonus Star for providing a special Halal in-room dining menu.... Great attention to the demand of middle eastern guests and the food itself is excellent....

Location is 10minutes walk to either the knightsbridge area or the Oxford street area plus you'll find a lot of restaurant choices in Mayfair...

Even though my expectation were high before my stay, i can assure you that during my stay all these high expectations were exceeded and I'm totally surprised by the amazing quality of the hotel...

I had 1 issue in my stay which was about the housekeeping forgetting towels for the bathroom twice and also not changing the fruit plates or dirty towels which were left on the tables, but it was resolved quickly by the management there and i think their action after my complaint was satisfactory....

Last time we stayed at FS London was back in 2004. So when it reopened two month ago we rushed to make a reservation. We expected the hotel to offer the same top notch service with modern rooms equiped with the latest technology.

Though the public spaces & rooms are nice, service was a disappointment.

1) We had booked 2 premier rooms through FHR program. No upgrade, rooms not ready when we arrived in the morning, still not ready when we came back early afternoon, no flower (nor potted plant) in the room, no welcome amenity, no offer for newspaper of our choice, multiple mistakes on the bill, public restroom by the restaurant dirty & smelly, etc.

2) Room 504 faces Hyde Park (connecting with Presidential Suite) and room 827 faces the city with a view over Green Park and the London Eye / Big Ben in the background. Decor was slighlty different => 504 has double windows for a better noise insulation, it also has Loewe tv+blu-ray (instead of LG for 827) and different lighting system.

3) Breakfast / afternoon tea are excellent. Bar attendants were extremely nice! Concept of choosing the setting (restaurant / bar / lougne) is something that other FS throughout the world should offer! I just loved it!

4) Privacy when using the bathroom is an issue as sliding door leaves spaces on each side when 'closed'.

Overall the hotel has a great potential. It's just a shame that service is a bit erratic as first impression ruins everything. I guess that within few months FS management team will make this property one of the best in London.
