“A honeymoon to remember...”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

My family and I don't have words to express the level of gratitude we have for the staff at the Four Seasons London. We have stayed at several Four seasons properties and have always appreciated the experience. This occasion was without exception the finest stay we have ever had. We arrived at the hotel very early from our flight from the U.S. and were greeted by the night manager James. James attended to every detail making our honeymoon something so very special and truly unforgettable. Our suite was impeccable, the services and amenities were outstanding and the staff second to none. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for going above and beyond to make our stay so incredible.

We are only in London once per year these days and we have been looking for a hotel to call our own for a few years (since we had three horrific experiences at the MO Knightsbridge) Finally, I can say that this is our new place.

The room was lovely - modern and clean, well furnished, with a brilliant bathroom and glass shower cubicle and separate bath. (v. important - I loathe a shower over a bath!) We had a room facing away from the park on the 8th floor which had great views of the shard, London Eye, the roof of Buckingham Palace and Big Ben! The double glazing made the room silent. The bed was perfectly firm and at the same time soft - my husband wants to buy one of the bed toppers.

The staff were truly excellent. Nothing was too hard. The staff at the door called us by name, which is amazing considering the size of the hotel! And the concierge got us tickets to the long sold out Chelsea Flower Show (It is so popular that there are signs throughout London saying that the tickets are all gone!) The Concierge also organised the complimentary Rolls-Royce to take us to the Sloane Club to pick up the tickets on our way to the show! I think a truly great hotel often has a concierge team who know so many people that they can virtually get you anything.

The location is brilliant- easy walking distance to the places we like to go - Harvey Nicks, Selfridges, New Bond Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly, Fortnum and Mason and the Theatre District! Also, walk across the road to Hyde Park and rent a bike! You can walk to the Ritz for High Tea and there are plenty of sandwich shops within walking distance (I have quite an addiction to Pret a Manger and Eat.) If you are the big bus kind of tourist, there is a stop across the road. Taxis are very easy as there is a stand right outside of the hotel in the median strip on the road.

To say I fell in love with this hotel is almost an understatement. I think I have also fallen in love with the brand! We had the same level of service at the Four Seasons in Munich on this trip and in Singapore (On Orchard Road) in January! Also for years we used to stay exclusively at the George V in Paris, but the position is difficult for our Paris pursuits.

Room Tip: Some rooms have spectacular views of the park, but we found the ones facing away had great over the...

The four seasons chain never disappoints! I arrived on the typical early am flight over from the us, and my room was already ready. Words cannot describe how much I appreciated this- I have huge problems adjusting to the uk time zone from the us every time I visit. The four seasons staff gave me a wonderful breakfast and then let me go to sleep- just what I'd hoped for! Besides the early checkin, they also arranged high tea for my associate and me, as well as acquired tickets to a sold out show of The Book of Mormon. The restaurant they recommended -Boca, I believe- was one of my favorite Italian meals I've ever had in London (and I've had a lot). Fantastic in every way!!!

We stayed at this property during the summer and had the most positive experience. The location of the hotel is superb - you can walk to almost all of the main attractions in the city, or they are just a short "house car" ride away. Yes - they have a beautiful Bentley that will take you up to a mile away from the hotel - complimentary. The rooms are small (I guess they are generous for UK standards) but well appointed and they have lovely bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The property is understated elegance. They have a nice lobby for coffee in the morning and a great restaurant that has a good bar (and bartenders!) The staff is very accommodating and willing to help with tour ideas for those of us from out of town. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. It was sad to leave but if we do return to London, this would most definitely be our go to hotel.

We were staying in London for a treat for our son who is nine, we were staying near tower bridge and made our way over whilst seeing the sights, we arrived early and decided to have some drinks in the bar, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere great,
When our table was ready we taken through and given menu's we ordered one traditional afternoon tea and one Italian and a cream tea, everything was fantastic and beautifully presented, the waitress was delightful and noticed our son loved cars and when we had finished one of the managers took our son to see their rolls Royce and he sat in it ,
On leaving our son said this has been the best and can we come back and next time stay here it just shows how wonderful it was and worth every penny the top you up for free mind you there was enough for us

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights last week, having left another hotel (The Atheneum) as it was so shabby. We have stayed in several Four Seasons before, so we know it would be good, but it exceeded our expectations. It is magnificent. Everything is perfect - location, decor, staff, food - all stunning. The renovation of the hotel (we stayed here before) is sublime - so elegant and understated. The bedrooms were all perfect (although room 221 was our favourite as it had a private terrace), it was peaceful, and as always the beds were amazing. The beautiful Roja Dove products in the bathrooms are worth staying for alone!
It should be noted that although expensive, we found this hotel to be very competitive for London rates, and in fact CHEAPER than the shabby place we left!

Room Tip: Visit the 10th floor lounge for the best view in London.
