Recently I stayed for a weekend, perfect calm area but just minutes away from Hyde Park and Harrods. The hotel is impressive, design, room size, amenities, attentiveness of the staff, etc. Also the little bar is quite but they produce a superb cocktails! Perfect for a weekend. Surely we will come back!

Room Tip: Fifth floor rooms are really stylish and different also quieter. Ask for them!

Great hotel in a great location, on a quiet street in Belgravia, but a short walk from Victoria, Sloane St, Hyde Park etc. Stayed here twice on business within the last month, first in a King Double room, and then in a King Superior room. The Double was very well appointed, and although smallish, was perfectly adequate for a short stay. Bathroom clean, but small with only a shower over the bath. Superior was room was similarly well appointed, larger, and had a walk-in shower. Both rooms light and airy, but had excellent curtains and blinds. Fresh blueberries, raspberries and strawberries every day was a nice touch! Fantastic water pressure, but shower regulator had difficulty coping with other users nearby - beware very hot or cold temperature fluctuations until thermostat regulates itself again.
Very friendly and efficient staff - will stay here again

My parter and I stayed here for a night at the beginning of December. The hotel staff were fantastic even before we arrived, answering any questions I had over email promptly. Upon finding out it was my partners birthday, they kindly upgraded us and even bought up a birthday cake with champagne.

The room on the 5th floor had double height ceilings (a bonus as my partner is very tall) and a generous sized bed. The bathroom had a separate bath/ shower, and the room was spotless.

We ordered breakfast in bed which was beautifully presented and delicious.

We planned to stay here as the hotel is a short walk from Petrus which we went to for dinner.

Room Tip: Fantastic location- nearby Harvey Niks, Harrods and Winter Wonderland

Dear DesT91

Thank you for your "fantastic" review and great tip re the 5th floor and the high barrel shaped ceilings. So pleased we made the Birthday such a memorable one. Shame you went to Petrus for dinner as Ametsa in the hotel is an award winning Michelin restaurant, maybe next time !

Best Regards

We stayed in a superior king room for one night and it will live long in the memory. The location is superb and staff are so helpful and friendly, which is not taken for granted in London. Our room was spacious, comfortable and catered for every need. In summary, one of the nicest places I have stayed at...which is high commendation!

One night in London taking in an expensive lunch and show for my wife's 50th. Lovely quiet hotel. Very welcoming on arrival and room was available even though we were early. Fairly small room as most in London are but clean and contemporary. Small but functional bathroom. Had a quick drink prior to going out for lunch - very 'stiff' G+T, too much for my wife to drink! Back after the show and again went to the bar for a drink and perhaps a bite to eat. Promptly given both drinks and food menu. After a couple of minutes ready to order so waited for the one bar staff member to return. Waited and waited. All this time could see the member of staff engrossed in a conversation with a table of guests. Waited and waited. No movement. Went to find the concierge who came and hovered near the bar staff member. No change. Concierge goes off to find another member of staff and eventually returns and we are served. 15 minute wait in a hotel for a drink with no more than 10 customers over 3 tables - not on. As ever this is the lasting memory. Had a good nights sleep, a very pleasant breakfast the next day, swift and efficient checkout so everything else was great. It such a shame that one incident takes the gloss of an otherwise great hotel.

Dear OldLanghoTraveller,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience here at The Halkin by COMO following your recent stay. I am delighted that you overall enjoyed the hotel facilities and the room you have stayed in on this special occasion. Of course I am very disappointed that we let ourselves down in the end. The lack of attention and delay in service you have experienced that night is certainly neither acceptable nor indicative of the high service standards we strive for and I would like to apologise for this.

I would very much welcome the opportunity to meet you in person on your next stay. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly when planning your next visit. In the meantime I wish you a lovely festive season and send you my warmest regards from The Halkin.

Sincerely,

Simon

My wife and me stayed at the Halkin for 2 nights on Friday 15th Nov, a treat for my pregnant wife. It was excellent, from the Belgravia Suite room to the service to the location. I cannot fault it in anyway. For me this is the best hotel in London. Given its semi-boutique style it doesn't have a Spa or pool but we were offered treatments at the sister hotel The Metropolitan round the corner on Park Lane, which was excellent value and a very easy 5 min walk. The rooms were so quite, we visited Petrus restaurant a short walk and shopped in Harvey Nicks and Harrods again a 5 min walk. This will definitely be top of the search list next time we stay in London. Elliott Gibson.

Room Tip: Its worth looking at a deluxe room - they are huge for the money in comparison to other similar pric...
