My wife and I have stayed at the Radisson twice now. Once on our wedding anniversary, which gained us a free room upgrade, and the second time for a Spring break this year.

The hotel is a very friendly, beautiful, modern, and comfortable one. The staff have been very polite and helpful in all areas of the hotel.

The upgrade room was a 'Queen' room, very spacious, airy and light. The en suite bath and shower room was enormous. If it had been fitted with a bed would have been the same size as the standard room for our second stay. The standard room was small, but again, comfortable and light with a small ensuite shower room only.

We drank at the bar and ate in the restaurant during both our stays. The cost of doing so reflects the standard of the hotel. It is not for a cheap stay! If you can find this hotel on offer for rare occasions to meet a lower budget then you'll blow it eating and drinking here. We spent over £200 on a meal and drinks for 4. Having said that the food, service and ambience was well worth the expense, hence our second visit.

The hotel is really very central to most of London's attractions. We tend to walk when we visit cities and this hotel's position makes this possible even in London.

The West End, Soho, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus are all within a easy walk. London Transport is available on the same block - a 5 minute walk.

There are many eateries close to the hotel for those who wish to stretch the cost of their stay. With breakfast at £17.50 at the hotel we found a local cafe opposite which served a full english for £5.95.

I feel we will continue to return here, despite being retired and not on a very high income. It is well worth spending the year's savings especially for those special occasions. This hotel would be well worth a stay, even just the once.

Highly recommended (We are definitely returning, when our savings pot fills back up)

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your continued patronage, it is hugely gratifying to read that you continue to stay with us and I shall ensure your comments are shared with the team at the next staff forum.

I was glad you took the time to visit Bloomsbury Street Restraurant and Bar, which offeres an intimate space to our customers and the finest cocktails! Our menu as you noticed showcases the finest seasonal British ingredients that offers what we call a "seasonal modern European cooking".

I would like to thank you for this very helpful feedback and I sincerely hope we have an opportunity of welcoming you back to the Radisson Edwardian Bloomsbury Street Hotel sometime in the future.
Sincerely,

Hasnain N. Alloo

Positives:

+Great location, in the middle of everything--walking distance to the British Museum, the Charing Cross Road bookshops, etc.
+Helpful, enthusiastic staff throughout--front desk, dining room bar, etc.
+Good food for a London hotel restaurant--best ribeye I've had in the UK during the last year
+Attractive public areas in the hotel--some fairly decent art

Negatives

-Nano-sized room--okay, it's London, but only one foot (that's right, 12 inches) from the end of the bed to the wall? Bring shin guards with you!
-Flashy/cheesy room furnishings An all-acrylic chair (the only one in the room)? A television so large in a tiny room that it perches on the wardrobe like a vulture? Dear Radisson chain: I know you are trying to appeal to the targeted younger demographic, but also recognize that their taste isn't the same as the demographic that currently pays your bills.
-Unauthorized bill add-ons: £2 per day for a newspaper, £1 for some children's fund. Certainly not the practice of a 5-rated hotel.

Bottom Line: I would stay again, but would ask to see the room on arrival to make sure it's larger than a breadbox.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Radisson Bloomsbury Street Hotel and for sharing your experience on this site.

I am delighted you enjoyed your time with us and that you found the local area well serviced and convenient. Our Restaurant offers a seasonal modern European cooking with a focus on innovative combination of flavouring. Thank you for your compliments which I shall pass on to the Executive Chef team.

Size of rooms can be challenging depending on the room type booked, may I suggest that on your next visit your experience our Deluxe King Rooms which are more specious and have received very positive reviews. Overall I was glad to have received your candid feedback on our product, it is always interesting to read different prospective on how our product is received from our valued guests.

It was also incredibly heartening to read your positive comments on the service delivery which I shall share with the team and I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel very soon.

Kind Regards,

I went there for a short trip to London during the fashion week. The location should be great, it close by to the Selfridges and many shopping malls.

room is fine, a bit dark, they need more lighting, B&O phone.
over all is just fine. and yes, I will be back to this place again.

I picked this hotel because of the vast number of great reviews on this ( and other) site(s). I was not let down in any way.
But first, the room sizes. I can see that some people would be dissapointed with the room size. They are generally small, especially if you choose the Standard rooms. But then again, London hotel rooms are rarely very big. Sp if you need a room for sleep, they will absolutely suffice.
The rooms are clean and newly refusbished. The staff are attentive and friendly. The service is fast and of high quality. The breakfast is very good.

I stayed for 6 nights and didnt encounter any major problems. The few situations that did occur was resolved quickly by the staff and with a smile.

The location is brilliant! I will absolutely return to this hotel next time Im in London

Dear Guest,

It gives me great pleasure to read that your experience whilst staying with us was enjoyable, we strive to exceed our guests expectations and a review such as yours is most gratifying.

As you have noted, The Radisson Bloomsbury Street Hotel has been newly restored by a £25 million transformation and was launched afresh in January 2009, we are indeed perfectly located in the heart of the West End and within walking distance of theatres, Covent Garden Opera House, and the restaurants of Soho. The shops of Oxford Street are close by, and just 50 metres down the road the delights of the British Museum can be explored too.

Sincerely I hope we have an opportunity of welcoming you back to the Radisson Bloomsbury Street Hotel sometime in the future.

Very good location, just 4 minutes away from the underground, walk away from soho!, coven garden. Very helpful staff from the minute you walk in to the hotel. Sahil in reception very helpful. Evening the hotel creates an atmosphere by deeming the lights with various staff welcoming people back to the hotel, the bar starts buzzing with low lights, candles and high mucis. Conference facilities are very good, the room we were in had natural day light, light was server in the restaurant overseeing Bloomsbury street, service overall was great. Well done and I would 110% recommend this hotel.
