My wife and I have stayed at the Radisson twice now. Once on our wedding anniversary, which gained us a free room upgrade, and the second time for a Spring break this year.
The hotel is a very friendly, beautiful, modern, and comfortable one. The staff have been very polite and helpful in all areas of the hotel.
The upgrade room was a 'Queen' room, very spacious, airy and light. The en suite bath and shower room was enormous. If it had been fitted with a bed would have been the same size as the standard room for our second stay. The standard room was small, but again, comfortable and light with a small ensuite shower room only.
We drank at the bar and ate in the restaurant during both our stays. The cost of doing so reflects the standard of the hotel. It is not for a cheap stay! If you can find this hotel on offer for rare occasions to meet a lower budget then you'll blow it eating and drinking here. We spent over £200 on a meal and drinks for 4. Having said that the food, service and ambience was well worth the expense, hence our second visit.
The hotel is really very central to most of London's attractions. We tend to walk when we visit cities and this hotel's position makes this possible even in London.
The West End, Soho, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus are all within a easy walk. London Transport is available on the same block - a 5 minute walk.
There are many eateries close to the hotel for those who wish to stretch the cost of their stay. With breakfast at £17.50 at the hotel we found a local cafe opposite which served a full english for £5.95.
I feel we will continue to return here, despite being retired and not on a very high income. It is well worth spending the year's savings especially for those special occasions. This hotel would be well worth a stay, even just the once.
Highly recommended (We are definitely returning, when our savings pot fills back up)
