This is a super spot in the heart of London. Extremely convenient to all the theatres and restaurants. can walk everywhere. Good place for a weekend escapade or business.
The rooms are beutifully designed, modern. The Spa has a great pool although crowded when we used it. Difficult to swim.

Beautiful reception with the most stunning floral display. Good, efficient service. Room was very pretty, great bathroom with TV (although you couldn't see it from the bath), only thing that let it down was the room was quite small, but not unexpected for Central London, and such a great central location. Recommend Balthazar around the corner for breakfast or brunch (booking required).

We visited One Aldwych on Sunday 4th May for Charlie and the chocolate factory afternoon tea for our anniversary.
We had a wonderful time. There was such attention to detail from the chef including a cake with congratulations being written on a plate for our anniversary.
Everything was perfect, and the staff made us feel as if we were the only people there.
I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for an afternoon treat should try here. You will not be disappointed. We would love to go back again!

We stayed at ONe Aldwych on 2nd May using the hotel as a base for dinner on the thames and doing touristy things in London. We have used some of the top hotels in the world and this is right up there with them. We were greeted with a very welcoming smile on arrival - escorted to reception and within minutes were being taken to our room and shown around. The lifts are amazing such great colours . The rooms are very comfortable with some brillaint little touches such as weather notes so you know how to dress for the day. Champagne in the bar was lovely - a great bustling atmosphere - set us up for the evening. The next day we were given a late check-out without any hassle. All the staff must be hand selected for their welcoming personalities and helpfulness. The hotel is extremly well placed for Covent Garden and theatre land - the rest of central London is jsut a short walk away. We will be back - thank you for making our stay so relaxing.

First off...One Aldwych has an amazing staff from top to bottom. So friendly, helpful, and really nice. Also, the breakfast makes you not want to leave to explore in morning! It has a great location, it's charming, centrally located and it makes walking the area much more enticing.

My only real issue was the loudness of the plumbing. I know London is an old city...but you can hear the flushing of your neighbors and the pipes in the walls clank...which I don't find charming at all. Also, ladies from the US before you plug in your flat irons...don't. It will cease to work, forever.

The bar scene is corporate, but very nice and the drinks at the hotel are A+. Definitely would recommend One Aldwych, but the rooms (and plumbing) could use a little update.

Room Tip: If you enjoy city views, I'd pick a higher floor.

Dear BabyButta

Thank you for your review of One Aldwych. We very much appreciate your many great comments, especially regarding our friendly and helpful team.

With regard to our plumbing system, this was selected in keeping with our focus on being an environmentally friendly hotel. Although unconventional it works very well, however I am sincerely sorry that this aspect somewhat marred your stay with us. I am also sorry to hear about your flat irons and I confirm that the power supply for the UK and Europe has a higher voltage than the US. Our rooms do offer specific sockets which work with all US laptops, tablets and mobiles, however US electrical items with heating elements do require a transformer adaptor.

Thank you once again for all your feedback and your recommendation of One Aldwych. We very much hope that we will see you again on a future London visit.

Yours sincerely

Loved every minute. Lots of great little touches and superb service. We felt especially welcome with a young child whom the staff went of their way to be kind to providing complementary hot chocolate every evening, mini slippers and bath robe. Thank you, this our number 1 treat hotel.

The starters were beautiful and different from any menu we had had in the past. Excellent. On the mains the lamb melted in ones mouth. However, the pastry chef pulled all the stops out and presented a wonderful selection of sweets. I cannot nor want to fault any of it. The unlimited prosecco kept on coming. The service was spot on, and unobtrusive. Thanks to the chefs and servers.
