If you are a nurse, this is for you. I was disappointed in the small size if thus museum. Good over ie of her life and impact on nursing profession.

As an SRN myself was happy to take my 7yr old granddaughter to see the museum. She had been doing a project at school and was very keen to go there. She loved it and we spent at least an hour there where she was able to try out all the interactive parts. She was fascinated by the uniform! It is an excellent way to learn about our most famous Nurse and the conditions she worked in during the Crimean war. There is also a good section on Mary Seacole We would have stayed longer but the A/C wasn't working on one of the hottest days of the year so it became really too hot to stay any longer. There was the added bonus of a special Neverland exhibition all about JM Barrie and of course Peter Pan which was very good as well.
The children's activity trail is just the right length
It is well laid out and a good place to spend an hour or two without tiring
There is a little shop selling all sorts of memorabilia and photography is allowed.

We wanted to visit this museum along with our daughter who is a nurse. She visited this museum before but it was closed. A history of Florence Nightingale- how nursing through time had developed and how the Nursing has changed over the years. a fabulous little museum and some great photos of how hospitals developed in the Victorian era. Small fee was paid at the door. We really enjoyed our visit and reading all about the NHS as we both work in hospital, fabulous displays of Florence Nightingales uniform and her life and passion in this museum. Well worth the visit. lots of history.

THis museum is very well laid out and very informative given its area of display is rather samll there was also a small exhibition on Peter pan and J M Barries whenwe visited, there is some ephemera and memorabilia and lots of photographs to do with Florence nightingale but also about nursing in general and to show how mucgh Florence Nightingale influended nursing with her 'Notes on Nursing' and especially her effects on Military nursing which was virtually none existent until she started improving and influencing attitudes, procedures and care

This is a small museum covering the life and work of Florence Nightingale. The layout of the exhibits is a little confusing but manageable. Entry is a rather steep £7.50, definitely overpriced for what it is, good discounts for those eligible however, but incredibly no discount for NHS staff??? Unbelievable. This is an ok diversion to while away an hour but to be honest all of the information presented can be easily obtained elsewhere far more cheaply and accessibly
