Could not quite work out a logical order to walk around this museum and the noise of the presentation to a school party disturbed my attention, however there were interesting facts to absorb and interesting videos to watch

My wife works in healthcare so she really wanted to go visit the Florence Nightingale Museum located right outside of St. Thomas Hospital. It is a worthwhile hour long stop.

The museum is small and all in one room, but you learn a lot. I knew almost nothing about Ms.Nightingale, but I walked out feeling like I learned about her and her positive influence to modern healthcare. These exhibits also require a bit of reading so if you aren’t a museum reader it may not be your cup of tea.

Another pro is that with the purchase of a TravelCard through the National Rail you can get 2 for 1 admission here (just flash the “badge.”).

Only one con here. When we got there the young lady at the register was friendly and helpful. But when we were on our way out (about 5 mins before closing) the new person at the register was not. She kind of ordered us out of the exhibit and then we literally stopped at the postcards for a second and she sternly, kind of shoutingly said, “Register’s closed!” Geez. Could have just said, “I’m sorry, but the register is closed for today” or something at least pleasant. We felt weird leaving the museum like that.

This is a small but interesting collection located at St Thomas' Hospital. If you have an interest in, or a connection to nursing it is worth while to check out to learn more about the history and how it has changed over the years. We expected it to be a bit bigger than it was, but it was well done. Washrooms and gift shop on site.

Set in the grounds of St. Thomas' Hospital, this is a relatively small museum that has been well thought out. Anyone interested in Florence Nightingale, the history of nursing or Edith Cavell will love this place. Only takes about an hour to get round, but is reasonably cheap and very interesting.

A must do for nurses and anyone fascinated with learning about the history of this medical profession. Great museum full of history and tribute to pioneers in the field of nursing. Learned a lot about how nursing began and evolved throughout the years. Museum located right outside of the St Thomas hospital. Nice little souvenir shop inside to grab little trinkets honoring the profession.
