Many varieties of birds, wonderful views of both Buckingham Palace and Whitehall,
with a well run cafeteria at one side. Well worth a walk through between sights.

We passed through as we walking to Buckingham Palace. It is a beautiful park and as it was autumn it was full of golden leaves.
We met our first squirrel of our London trip as he decided to see what was on offer at our feet.
It was nice to see both white and black swans and a myriad of ducks.
Be careful to dodge the joggers at lunch time or if your bored take bets on who is going to make it up the hill.
We were lucky as we emerged, the horse guards rode past.

They have chairs to sit by the pond and watch the London eye go around and feed the ducks. It's close proximity to Buckingham Palace and Westminister Abbey/ Big Ben makes it an ideal stop to take a break in the middle of sightseeing. It is also wonderful that sometimes they have events, 5ks and other festivals in the park so there is always something going on. The park is also exceptionally clean and there is not a lot of trash in the park at all.

Very green park at the heart of London. Swans are swimming in the lake, good food for your camera. Very nice for families with young children. You can spend more than one hour enjoying the place

One of the reviewers before me said this parc is great to escape the crowd. I don't agree with that. The parc is very beautiful. I have been here many times. But often it is very busy. Last time we were here on a Monday afternoon and it was really busy.

This park is a great way to cross this part of London or just escape from the crowds. It is bigger than it looks on the map and there is quite a bit to see as well as refreshments.

Great place to escape the hustle and bustle and take in the famous gardens of the royals on your way to have a look at Buckingham Palace. With squirrels that will eat from your hand, and ducks, geese, pelicans - lovely place for a walk

We stayed near St. James’s Park, so crossed it several times. It is fun to observe geese, black swans, squirrels and pigeons. Green oasis in the bustling city.

We had a walk round St James’s park as we were too early to check in to our hotel. What a fantastic park!

It is beautiful with lots of wildlife to look at including very tame squirrels, black swans, three resident pelicans, herons and wild parrots.

The park offers some excellent views of Buckingham Palace and the Victoria memorial.

With lots of park benches it is a wonderful place for a nice, peaceful, picnic.

Would definitely recommend taking a few minutes out of the hustle and bustle of the city and exploring the park a little.

Not as huge as Hyde Park or as flowery as Regent's Park, but St James's Park is a charming oasis in the central city, a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.
The squirrels, and geese, are always friendly !
