“Good Pub if You are in the Neighborhood”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2013

Had Sunday lunch with friend and family. Had the Butternut Squash soup, Bruschetta, and chicken caesar salad as starters, Lamb, Italian sausages, Fish Cakes for main, and the Affogato, Rubarb crumble and Profiteroles for dessert, topped with a nice bottle of Kim Crawford Pinot Noir from NZ. Service was just adequate. Food was all very good. Soup was excellent as were the sausages and lamb. Nice wine list and good beers on tap. Fires in the two fireplaces but place was a little cold on early Sunday afternoon as the fires were not giving off enough heat and it is generally a bit weak on atmosphere, being a bit on the plain side. But it's a solid neighborhood gastro pub, so not to complain too much. Would definitely go for lunch if I were in the neighborhood, though not the kind of place you would go all the way across town to eat at. Outside seating at picnic tables in warm weather, but likely to be sitting next to smokers.

Easy and friendly place, closed to the Earls Court exhibition center, this pub offers a nice atmosphere and a good cooking based on fresh products. We can find many meals from £12.5 to £14.

Great food and atmosphere, really handy for Earls Court. Food at least one class above usual pub grub .

“One of best gastros in London - great all-rounder”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2012

Was lucky enough to work nearby to The Atlas for 3 years . Good selection of ales & beers alongside the regular & continental lagers - quite hard to find a better selection in most hostelries in the capital.
The menu usually has a selection of hearty staples such as bangers & mash (usually w/slightly exotic sausage), along with the standard steak but also stewed pork, braised lamb & if it's on the menu i recommend the kofta w/ houmos , cous-cous etc. Have eaten here many, many times & it's never been a disappointment.
There's a Michelin star-red Gastro just around the corner (The Harwood Arms) & as you'd expect it is more expensive - i feel it's over-rated. Given the choice i'd always choose this place as it's great all-rounder.
