Small, elegant and quirky as well. This hotel is even better than the last time we stayed there. The staff is amazing, from my Skype call to the emails and theater and restaurant and shopping recommendations. The rooms are large and perfect- with great mirrors and lighting. But the best is the garden- for a leisurely breakfast ( included), high tea ( dinner before a show) and just relaxing reading a book. I could envision a wedding party there! Location in South Ken is great- close to Tube and in a wonderful neighborhood- and away from the huge tourist crowds- and close to walking to the V and A, Hyde Park and even Harrods. My fourth time there- and love it more each visit.

I and my husband stayed a week end in this pretty hotel 3 min walk from South Kensington tube station. It has been bought by an American company 4 years ago, refurbished to high standard and doted with young and extremely professional and friendly staff. The room we stayed in was large, impeccably clean, fine bedlinen, good bathroom, air conditioning, good lightning, fine big screen TV, radio, fine minibar. Esthetically pleasing, English style decoration, beautiful small garden where one can breakfast, read, smoke, have a glass of champagne or coffee. Very good help with travel arrangements, bookings, taxis at the front desk. Good breakfast in the restaurant area or as room service, I recommend the eggs Benedict, anything eggs was perfectly cooked, bacon crispy, all served with a smile. The neighborhood is wonderful, lots of small restaurants, short walks to Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods etc. We will return. Rapport price quality fair.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Number Sixteen last July after we were married in Chelsea. We returned last weekend to celebrate our first anniversary and were made to feel extremely welcome by the friendly staff. The manager had left a personal note welcoming us back as well as a gift in our room. We were offered a complimentary glass of bubbly too. Like last year, our room was very comfortable. Breakfast in the garden was very tasty - with a selection of fruit, cereals and juices with the option of a cooked breakfast too.

We live in London, so it is a real treat to stay in a different part of the city. The location of Number Sixteen is really good; so handy to be so close to the museums, Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park.

Thanks to the management and staff for making this a memorable anniversary for us. We hope to be back again some time.

Room Tip: Parking is free on the street from 1.30PM on Saturday and all day Sunday.

We just finished off a European trip and finished with three nights in London. We have stayed many times on this same street at another small hotel but it was booked so we decided to stay at Nimber Sixteen. Our room faced the street and was beautiful with a king size bed and double sinks in the bathroom. Staff was warm and friendly and the room provided every amenity you could want, even a complimentary bottle of water each day. We love this location and this street. Very safe with lots of restaurants close by. The South Kensington tube station is only a five minute walk and has the Picadilly, District and Circle lines so we were able to reach most of our destinations without tedious train switching. Breakfast was lovely but brings me to my only complaint: our included breakfast rate was for a continental breakfast and we would have to pay more for a cooked breakfast. The continental breakfast was lovely and generous but it seems when you are paying $700 a night for a room, they could throw in some scrambled eggs and bacon without charging you for it. This was a small issue but kept me from giving the hotel the fifth star I would normally give it. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a luxurious space with impeccable service in a beautiful location in London. We would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel if you are a light sleeper. There is a very busy road c...

I am a big fan of the Firmdale Hotels in London and New York but this is my favourite so far! Love the sitting rooms and breakfast room that goes out into a beautiful charming garden. Fantastic for breakfast and for their amazing High Tea to sit in a Classic English Garden! Kit Kemp's exquisite design is always exciting to see and her playful mix of colours, artwork, and furnishings is so creative and inspiring! Each sitting room and guest room makes you feel that you must go in, sit down and absorb the detail! The location is close to the parks, Harrods and Chelsea restaurants and shopping. They have excelled at every detail! Go and Enjoy!

Was one of my best friends Hen weekend! Girls coming from all over and in need of a great space to relax, eat, chat and of course have a base in London for the busy weekend. We couldn't find a better place. Well connected, very clean, professional and polite staff. Really recommend this hotel for a couple or friends weekend away. Very pretty!!

Room Tip: Room 209 has a very big bed and great En-Suit

The room which I stayed was not so big but very clean and lovely. People who work there are very kind to the guests, and their hospitality was perfect. It is very close to V&A and South Kensington tube station.
