Stately interior and lovely to have the option to stand as well as sit for an opera. They do start precisely on time, so don't be late...

Hadn't been down for many, many years. Don't think much had changed!
Enjoyed everything anyway and don't do it very often.

This place is just beautiful. We took the tour and while touring they were actually rehearsing for the dance ballet of Romeo and Juliet so we got to watch some of it. We also got to sit in the box next to where the Queen sits. Very impressive building and architecture and the tour guide was a hoot. Too funny.

Tosca with Placido Domingo conducting ands Bryn Terfel as Scarpia. Amazing. The theatre is beautiful and sumptuous. Seats are comfortable and the surtitles unobtrusive. In this performance everything worked perfectly. The sets were excellent, the singing first rate and the orchestra perfect. It's not cheap, but you have to remember that this is an expensive form of entertainment.
