I love this old charming cinema in Notting Hill. Great location, beautiful building, special atmosphere! There are two screens. I would suggest to watch a movie in the main theatre. Clearly, it's an old theatre: the seats are not as much comfortables as the american multiplex cinemas. If you go on a Tuesday (or Monday only for students) the ticket is very CHEAP, just 3.50 £. Bring/buy a snack/pop corns and enjoy the experience of this lovely old cinema!

“Beautiful Grade II listed cinemanis a must for cineastes”

I visited this cinema a few years ago with the Cinema Theatres Association.Today was the first time that i have ever seen a film there.I viewed it in Screen 2 which is based on the stage area of the stalls. It is a very reasonable size auditoria and screen.I believe, though i cannot be sure, that it is still on film rather than digital..The auditoria is elegantly decorated. It only has a slight rake so if you have a tall person sitting in front of you, that could be a problem. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and as a senior i only paid £4.50.

“Cinema Goes NON-SMOKING”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2002

Well, in standard fashion the trends that start in the US finally end up here, regardless of their value. The coronet was truly a unique cinema with a fantastic atmosphere: watching James Bond there was like going to the Comedy club, loud and funny with plenty of welcome crowd participation. However their relaxed smoking regulations have sadly, and I suppose inevitably gone the way of the old owner (may he rest in peace). Now forward progress! A new modernised face complete with scrolling film titles: which I personally dislike because I can no longer drive past and see everyhting I need to in 10 seconds, plus it doesn't look good); and a small second screen. I suppose that all these changes came about with the new management. Still, they show a good range of films and the atmosphere is still decent if a little diminshed. Many fond memories will I carry with me though.
