Owner description: A blessing for smokers, the Coronet is the only cinema in London that allows patrons to light up in the theater.

If you want your London experience to feel very much London-y, schedule time, or wander in spontaneously as we did on a late Tuesday afternoon, and catch a show. It seems that it is THE thing to do while in the Notting Hill neighborhood, because just before showtime, the place was packed! Every single seat was taken! It's a small, old theater where one can buy beer or wine and drink during the show, and where everyone seems to be in the same "club." It has a strong neighborhood feel, and left us with one of our strongest and best memories of our trip to London. MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

If you are looking for value for money and quality of experience the Coronet is for you.

I go often, the listings are usually current, the price a steal for London. The venue is a nostalgic old theatre with two auditorium's. The smaller being a comfortable cosy room where it is not unusual to sit aside singletons eating anti pasti from a homemade tray. The other offers a choice of stalls or circle, the seating is a tad rigid and cramped but it is worth it for the whole experience.

Really cool place to watch a movie, 2 screens, one in the smaller theatre and the other in the larger one which has an option to sit in the circle upstairs - just like in an actual theatre!

Been there a few times, both as a student a few years back and more recently, on their Tuesday half price deal. I don't think you can find another place in London that matches it! Both price and unique character!

Watched "August: Osage County" there. Small and old cinema at outside. But the ticket prices match with it. Lovely decor inside and once you sit down and lights dimmed, you just forgot it is a small and old cinema.
Isn't this cinema the same one appear in Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts's "Notting Hill"?

We saw The Heat in Screen 1. It was actually quite funny and much better than I'd expected. I'd actually gone for the venue more than the film though and I wasn't disappointed. Yes, the seats are not the best and the décor is fading to say the least, but it's a lovely old theatre and there isn't really anything else like it that I know of. We sat in the middle of the stalls on a row that had more leg room, but I'd like to try the balcony next time. It's only £3.50 on a Tuesday, which is astounding for London. I booked in advance and it was absolutely packed (obviously very popular), so it's probably better to do that. This page must be very out-of-date because TripAdvisor is saying it's the only cinema where you can still smoke - this is absolutely not true.
