Chose this hotel after reading the reviews on here and checking out photo's. I'm in agreement with every other good review this place has received. It's a lovely boutique hotel with accommodating and friendly staff, clean rooms with a chic and modern design and value and quality for your money. Location was a little bit out of the way but I wasn't bothered too much. The room doesn't have any mirrors (apart from in the bathroom) so girls, bring a portable one if like me, you need to straighten your hair in the morning. Everyone says the rooms are small but we found ours to be quite spacious (we had classic double). Bathroom and shower was lovely! L'occitane products, quality loo roll ( Andrex aloe vera I think), complementary slippers and clean soft towels. The tea tray had quality products too! and lighting in the room was great. Bed was comfy and we slept well. The continental breakfast was really nice. Light but substantial. I really cannot fault this place. I'd love to stay there again! Go for it people! You won't be disappointed!

This little boutique hotel is a stunning surpise. It's beautifully designed and very contemporary, with lovely touches like fortnum and mason teabags and L'Occitane toilettries. The staff can't do enough for you. And all for only £85 (through laterooms) - amazing value and my new favourite London hotel. It's a little off the beaten track up the northern line in Hendon central, but it takes about 10 mins on the tube from Kings Cross and is then genuinely only 2 mins walk from the tube station. Utterly brilliant.

suite was supposed to be an executive suite and expected it to be bigger than the ordinary rooms but this was not the case! this though was the only problem the staff were so helpful and friendly, the tube station is 2 mins walk from the hotel and takes about 20/25 mins to get to the heart of London. the rooms were spotless each day after cleaning and the continental breakfast will keep everyone satisfied! great trip in London but expected more from wat was stated as an executive suite. would recommend to others cannot fault staff but rooms are quite small

This hotel was great value for the money, especially as the service was top notch and the breakfast excellent. They even let me check in early on the day of my arrival. There was free wireless internet and the rooms looked as nice in person as they did in the fotos. However, my major gripe was the the hotel abuts a very large motorway and there was traffic noise all through the day and night. Don't know if there is a police station or hospital nearby but sirens were frequently heard. If you are a light sleeper or in any way sensitive to noise, make sure you get a room NOT on the side of the road, otherwise it will be a tough night's sleep.

The Tube stop is about 5 minutes away which is nice but not in central London at all, so you're looking at a 20 minute ride at least to the main tourist stops.

We checked into The Hide after 10pm and there was still plenty of parking, the receptionist offered us a drink. Our room was spotless, a fridge with free water and coke, hospitality tray with biscuits, tea, coffee. Flat screen tv with freeview, the bed was extremely comfy and the pillows were amazing! The bathroom has a rain shower, with plenty of toiletries.

Breakfast was great, plenty of meat, cheese, croissants, a good selection of breads, yogurt, fruit, muffins, everything you need to set you up for a day in London.

The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from the underground, there are plenty of shops and bars in Hendon, there is a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel which looked really nice much better than the one we went to in Chinatown.

There is also free use of the Virgin gym next door.

I would definatley stay at The Hide again and if anyone has written a bad review about the hotel, please ignore it.

The hotel was fine - very clean, very nice bathroom. The room though is tiny, not enough room to fully open my suitcase on the ground (and no where else to put it) and then had no room to step around it, had to jump across the suitcase onto the bed and tripped a bunch of times going to the bathroom. For two people, it was just absolutely too small. there is also a lot of noise at night from the staff? or the hotel guests? not really sure why but the walls seem very thin.

The staff also wasn't the friendliest, nothing bad, but didn't feel very courteous. There is no elevator so had to carry luggage up and downstairs...

It is definitely cheap. 85 pounds... can't find a better deal than that, but the location was just too far, spent 30 pounds numerous times just taking a cab from downtown london cause the long tube ride just didn't seem worth it.

overall would not stay here again as a tourist... would much rather be centrally located.

Stayed for one night in late January and could not fault the hotel one bit. I can easily say one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and would never look for another hotel in London now I know about The Hide.
Excellent service, excellent room, excellent breakfast. Happy for me to park there for the whole day after checking out.
You will not be disappointed.
