Every time we come to London it seems there are less Londoners, by this I mean that every person selling things on this embankment is not English which isn't the issue, the issue is that there is such a poor command of our language that it's often very difficult to communicate. It's always a long queue for the Eye but London despite its growing dirtiness us still a great buzzing okavevand we enjoy visiting.

Pretty central to any London trip, it is hard to stray far from the river. A fair few bars, cafes and restaurants (though never enough!) and great views and lots of people keep the walk interesting and well-oiled enough, wherever you are going!

The Thames is even beach-like in places (I never knew this!), so you can walk 'in the Thames' (beachy enough to walk, you'd be brave to sunbathe or take a dip!).

You can also - as we did - view the South Bank from a Thames Clipper, which I'd recommend too.

Weather permitting, and better on a sunny day, this walk it is a perfect way to sighseeing in London. Take it from Westiminster bridge and walk along the Southbank. Enjoy the views at the other side of the river, and through the river: Westminster, Charing Cross Road, Temple, The City, Blackfriars bridge, St. Pauls, London Bridge, even you can go as East as Tower Bridge... and enjoy the many attractions that the South Bank offers, starting from the London Eye, National Theather, food markets (Borough market one of them), historical pubs, restaurants, Tate Modern, London Globe... you name it. A must of your visit to London.

Quite often go for a walk or run along the South Bank. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is, there are always street acts, artists, musicians along the route. There are plenty of places to stop and grab a coffee or a bite to eat. The only downside, especially when you are trying to run, is thats its very crowded in the day. If you are running, I would recommend going out early in the morning or later in the evening. If its a nice day, and low tide, trying walking down the steps and take a stroll along the 'beach'. Its pretty cool!

I've always been fond of the South Bank, and so decided to take my 2 children aged.4 & 7 for a day out here. They loved it as much as I do! We took the tube to Westminster and took in the sights of Big Ben before walking along the bridge and starting our stroll along the South Bank.
Lots of fabulous street entertainers and the views of Londons iconic structures are incredible.
Plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. The Clink museum is fab if you have the time. Another mention is the Mug House pub.
Just behind tower Bridge station is the fabulous shard. Breathtaking.
