You know you found a special place when walk in. There is a feel about the CGH that's indescribable. The room decor is fit for royalty and the service does not skip a beat. If you choose to stay here you will understand exactly what i am writing about.

An excellent location for central London, set in the old French dispensary (have a look at the back facade) and surrounded by many trendy shops , cafes and bars . It's location is superb for theatre , dining , visiting London or weekend treat !

Superb self service breakfast but also cooked breakfast especially the vegetarian selection . It was copious, presented to the highest standard (just the spinach was a let down). An eye for details and for the fussy food eaters , gorgeous selections of appetising red summer fruit bowls with a lavish yoghurt to die for or more exotic and delicate mango pieces for those who prefer orange/yellow fruits. I could not resist the home baked mini raspberry muffins - they were 'perfect' and there was a real home feel to the taste !!!! There is a hidden treasure in the kitchen !

The room was very spacious and very comfortable with large american size bed - decors a bit 'recherche' and somewhat feminine but it looks really good and very pleasant (perhaps the mixture of texture makes the novelty) - safe, mini bar ,V good quality citrus toiletries (I do like the details of the caps which are easy to pour - no need to unscrew) - photographs of bathroom do not make the bathroom looks good enough - It's even better in reality ! You won't be disappointed , extremely clean , lots of water pressure in the shower.

Staff and service were excellent - discreet but helpful when needed.

Only drawback, I found the road at the back quite noisy even for a Sunday morning .

Room Tip: perhaps a room which gives onto the front entrance side ?

Sincerely thoughtful and nice staff at every turn. Outstanding location. Quiet rooms. Classy finishes. Affordable for central London. I visit Central London often. The hotels tend to be expensive and feel like poor value.

But The Covent Garden Hotel hits all the right buttons at an affordable price. Bianca at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful. The concierge staff took interest in my questions and offered me alot of helpful suggestions. The bartender set up an outdoor table late on a Sunday so I could enjoy a cigar before bed.

I will be back.

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending the Paralympics. The hotel is superbly located for the west end, with theatre land, Covent garden and Leicester square within 5 minutes walk. The nearest tube (Leicester square) is about 5 minutes walk. There are many good restaurants in Monmouth street and near by.
The hotel is decorated in a traditional style, with plenty of antiques dotted around. The 1st floor reception room is used for light breakfasts and has the feel of an old country house.
Our room was spacious with a very comfortable double king sized bed. The pillows were particularly luxurious. The only minor compliant was a lack of power sockets by the table. When used on a business trip I find I need many power points to charge up mobiles, laptops etc. I was also surprised that there was a charge for wi fi, given that the hotel room rate is quite high.

Stayed there for one night with my wife after our wedding. It's certainly not cheap (and it shouldn't be) - the standout features are the drawing room for late night drinks and the breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
