Covent Gardenis a well located, small, upscale hotel in London. I highly recommend staying there as it is great for either business or family. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant's menu was comprehensive and excellent.

I have stayed at the Covent Garden Hotel on many occasions since it first opened. On each occasion, it has been uniformly excellent. First, the location is fine, especially if one is going to the Royal Opera House, which is but a short walk. Also, such as the British Museum and the Tate Modern are within a reasonable distance. Second, and most importantly, the hotel is wonderful from every aspect: large, well-appointed and pleasant rooms, an incredibly helpful and friendly staff, and a first rate restaurant. Concerning the latter, “breakfast specials” are both creative and delicious as are, at the other end of the day, late night snacks at the bar.

I would be remiss in failing to note one aspect of the hotel that I especially love: the library and “honesty bar.” This is a beautifully furnished and comfortable room which is a fine, quiet place to sit and read one of the available newspapers and also to meet with others.

In summary, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, especially if business and/or pleasure is concentrated in this area of London.

Room Tip: On many visits, every room has been good.

Just came back from a 7 night stay at this fantastic boutique hotel. This was partially a business trip and my husband and I were there with three different couples. Everything was perfect about this place. The room was large and beautifully decorated. The room was perfectly spotless and looked brand new. The bedding was luxurious and spotless (which is very important to me).
The service at the hotel was amazing. From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, to doormen to concierge services I can only say great job. I don't have a single complaint.
The restaurant in the hotel is great. It is busy all day long with both guests in the hotel and locals.
The drawing room is such a nice place to sit and relax and have a drink. The location of the hotel is really perfect too. You are close enough to walk to many of the major sites and areas in London.
We went to some other fancier hotels like Claridge's for tea and The Dorchester for dinner and I much preferred this hotel!!
A special mention to Nikki the concierge who was so helpful with all of our requests. He helped make our stay more enjoyable. We are definitely a fan of Firmdale Hotels now and we hope to stay again in the future. Please open more hotels in North America!!

Room Tip: Luxury Room was very spacious. Rooms are super quiet. You cannot hear a single noise from the stre...

The staff of the Covent Garden Hotel is fantastic. Ali the manager was very helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect for walking around the city. The hotel is a upscale boutique hotel located on a lovely street. We enjoyed Tea and cocktails in the private drawing room and a lovely breakfast in the restaurant. The boutiques on the street are very nice and there is a excellent coffee shop across the street.

Room Tip: Suites are beautiful , ask for the quite side of the hotel

Has been our preferred hotel for visits to London. Location, location, location. Walking distance to most west end theatres. Staff generally are great, sometimes offhand. Restaurant, well, it's handy. Think they have new chef, and food needs bit of work. Usually excellent. Somewhat expensive all round but worth it for brief stays. On-call spa arrangement to be avoided, not up to snuff. (And v. Expensive)

Room Tip: Suites are worth the extra.

This is such a lovely place, I love sitting outside in the summer, relaxing with my favorite cocktail mojito topped with champaign watching people hurrying by. They do the best mojitos. A bit more pricy, but worth the good service, and luxury . Also reasonably priced snacks .

Recently I needed to book for Queens Birthday Parade.
Given the time of year and occasion, price was not an object, but service was.
On arrival after exhausting travel, Sydney/Honolulu/ Los Angeles/Chicago/ New York , with just one day in each city, it was a relief to finally know that I had a few days prior to the Parade.
On arrival, staff were aware of the travels and managed to have my room ready on arrival.
Unfortunately, I suffered an illness, not serious , but one that required me to be room bound for two days.
Concierge arranged for staff to go to chemist, to get medication., and ensured that there was very little disturbance.
Night two saw room service arrive, unbidden, with superb chicken soup, and found out later there was no charge.
A light breakfast was delivered each morning, with enquiries as to the progress of my condition.
Finally on day three, I was able to attend the Queens Colours, a remarkable event.
Arriving back to the hotel, staff did everything possible to ensure all was ok.
A three day stay extended into five days, and f time allowed would have extended even further.
Director of Sales, Craig Markham, was responsible for a truly memorable visit.
Cannot wait to go back.

Room Tip: You cannot find better

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
