Owner description: The London Dungeon, one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, has reinvented itself now as a bigger, bolder and better attraction in the vast underground vaults of County Hall on the South Bank, next to the EDF Energy London Eye. The all new multi-million pound attraction will bring 1000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides. Guests will embark on a journey through a dramatic London landscape going back ten centuries. They will be guided through ghastly plague-ridden streets, witness Guy Fawkes’ dramatic plot to blow up Parliament, travel back to Jack the Ripper’s bleak Whitechapel and walk beneath London’s foreboding medieval gates. There are new shows and rides which are more dramatic and surprising than ever, new funnier scripts, more theatrical costumes and styling and more talented actors to play even more colourful villains and blaggards.

Visited the dungeon yesterday and after suffering the long queue began the tour. I'm English but was embarrassed by the complete lack of translation for the foreign visitors. We got our tickets through club vouchers and had we had to pay the full entry price we would have been sorely disappointed. Compared to the original dungeon this new one isn't nearly as good or informative.

My husband and I enjoyed a visit to the Dungeons on our trip to London. I would recommend pre booking online as the queues are crazy even on a monday not in school holidays! After being herded outside, you are herded inside and after an hour or so you are herded around the Dungeons. I do think the groups you go in are a little large. As we went without children, we felt compelled to stand at the back each time and missed a little of the action because of how many people there were. Each area is very well done and the actors deserve medals to do what they do, pretty good on the historical detail also. There are enough scares to make it enjoyable but if you do have an overly sensitive child then don't bother as there are a few points which are even for an adult a little white knuckle.
Overall a good couple of hours and well run but for the money and herding, I wouldn't go again.

Very slow moving through the dungeon and its rather overpriced.
Granddaughter enjoyed it though so all in all guess its suited to a younger audience.

Was a bit scared about going to the Dungeons but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prepare to get wet. The only thing with attractions in London it is so expensive, the best way is to combine attractions and book on line as you get a discount.

This attraction is half a scare visit, but gives you history of many historical events that were terrifying and of the London Dungeon themselves. It is fun if you like scary things, but want to know a little history. I think its fine for people over 10 years old, not too scary. However, its too pricey. I enjoyed the London Bridge Experience more which was more scary and also historical, but this is one that I would to choose between. Going to both is a waste of time. They are both fun though.
