Owner description: The London Dungeon, one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, has reinvented itself now as a bigger, bolder and better attraction in the vast underground vaults of County Hall on the South Bank, next to the EDF Energy London Eye. The all new multi-million pound attraction will bring 1000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides. Guests will embark on a journey through a dramatic London landscape going back ten centuries. They will be guided through ghastly plague-ridden streets, witness Guy Fawkes’ dramatic plot to blow up Parliament, travel back to Jack the Ripper’s bleak Whitechapel and walk beneath London’s foreboding medieval gates. There are new shows and rides which are more dramatic and surprising than ever, new funnier scripts, more theatrical costumes and styling and more talented actors to play even more colourful villains and blaggards.

If you're the kind that enjoys a good scare, humor, and learning about historical times, this is the place for you. It was a great 90 or so minutes. It was right up my alley- I love the Tower of London and the stories of its executions. They are basically creative skits with fun actors. It is interactive, so don't stand I'm the front if you don't want to be picked!

There is so much detail that goes into this- it smells like llama basically because that's what you would expect. While you're walking through the hallways, take a good look at everything.

I heard that the skits change every year. This place is NOT A GOOD IDEA for children. It will scare them senseless. If you enjoy a good scare, go right on ahead.
Also, it is right next to the London eye on the bridge. It's such a convienent location,

I recommend it for any history junkies or anyone who's up for a good old scare!

“scary”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

On a day trip by train to London after going on the LondonEye we went to the London Dungeon which is next to it, used our train ticket, we picked up a leaflet at the station and got two for one entry. The London Dungeon was really good scary fun. Interesting with London history, very atmospheric with good acting, I screamed and jummped and got wet too. Dont miss the gallows ride would have loved to do it twice. Ended getting lots of scary goodies the gift shop. Good fun.

“Cheap boring, utter crap”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

If you want to spent over an hour in the dark with the smell of farts then just go around your Grandparents house and turn the lights off and save your money for the London Eye. This is dull, nothing in it but walking through dark corridors with very little dungeon 'memorabilia' and snippets of live action from enthusiastic but starkly entertaining performers.... crap.

“Worth a visit for sure!! ”
Reviewed 28 November 2013 via mobile

We had a 12 hr layover in London and this was one thing we decided to do. So much fun!! This is an interactive tour you take as a group. Along the way, the actors will engage you and lead you through the tour. Each event in London's history is retold in the form of a skit. You can tell the ACTORS (not hired hands who could care less) really take pride in their jobs and giving you a great performance. Things you may want to know before you go. 1. It's Dark/pitch black and tight spaces a lot of the way. If you can't handle that, better pass. 2. You'll get wet a little during a portion of the tour. 3. It's kinda smelly a great deal if the time. Maybe because of the old biulding. Several ppl commented on it. 4. It's quite a bit of walking and standing seeing as though it's 1.5 hrs long, but you do get to sit a few times aling the way.

“The best fun for kids”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Hair raising - especially the people in big cloaks who swoop down and scare the living daylights out of you! I always take visiting kids here - telling them that every visit to London should include a cultural experience.
