Owner description: The London Dungeon, one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, has reinvented itself now as a bigger, bolder and better attraction in the vast underground vaults of County Hall on the South Bank, next to the EDF Energy London Eye. The all new multi-million pound attraction will bring 1000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides. Guests will embark on a journey through a dramatic London landscape going back ten centuries. They will be guided through ghastly plague-ridden streets, witness Guy Fawkes’ dramatic plot to blow up Parliament, travel back to Jack the Ripper’s bleak Whitechapel and walk beneath London’s foreboding medieval gates. There are new shows and rides which are more dramatic and surprising than ever, new funnier scripts, more theatrical costumes and styling and more talented actors to play even more colourful villains and blaggards.

London Dungeon.......... Fantastic time, I would have given it a 5, but one of the attractions was out of service due to maintenance work, which was unfortunate. Other than that I couldn't fault it, not to give anything away to anyone planning on going, the Tyburn drop photos are well worth it. In whole, a must see visit.

Went with husband and two children aged 11 and 14. Was looking forward to this- thought it would have several rides after reading other reviews, cover some of London's history in an interesting and novel way and and last an hour and a half to 2 hours. Well we were out within the hour - and at over £50 that's not good value for money. Basically you walk through from room to room in the dark, and an aspect of London's history is enacted in each area, the Black Death, Jack the Ripper, the gunpowder plot (not in that order!). Members of the group are picked out in each area and put in a dock, sat in a chair for 'torture' etc. Water is also sprayed over you at regular intervals. It was fairly interesting but only fairly interesting and I would not recommend spending your money here. The single ride at the end was a very tame drop that lasted about a minute. Teenagers and other adrenaline junkies will not be impressed. If you or any of your family are afraid of the dark avoid the London Dungeon completely.

I do think the price is a bit excessive think it was £25 per person but it was very enjoyable, I had no idea what to expect but laughed and screamed from beginning to end. We hadn't planned on going here but it was a very wet day in London and we had time to kill so decided to give it a go. I wouldn't go back now that I have been, I think once is enough. The staff are fantastic and stay in character the full time.

Booked this for myself and OH, I booked through a corporate deal which meant that we didn't have to queue, thank goodness as it was Easter Weekend and very very busy and pouring down with rain!

The whole experience was fun and I must admit I did laugh at some of the groups reactions, they were screaming so loud it was as if Sweeney Todd the demon barber was actually really in the room killing people to make pies!

The actors were great and very good at dealing with the obligatory wise guy in the group and their put down was very well executed :)

The finale was brilliant, won't say any more as don't want to ruin it for anyone that has still to visit. A really good way to kill time for a couple of hours, money well spent.

We booked the dungeon online and selected a time in advance which was handy as we could plan our day in london around it. It perfectly located just across the bridge from Big Ben and Westminster and right beside the London eye; so for you sightseers out there it's an excellent area to get in the best of what london has to offer. The dungeons it's self was excellent from start to finish - plenty of things happening as you go along the trail with a few surprises in the mix! All the actors interacted very well with the crowd - the visit to the "doctor" was my favorite bit. It takes about 1.5 hours but well worth it
