This hotel has a lovely ambiance, staff are courteous and most helpful rooms are clean and warm The price of cocktails and spirits in Atrium is very cheap!!! My only small complaint is there isn't a hairdryer or shower gel

I have been quite a lot of times in this hotel, as it offers the great advantage of position (within walking distance to the West End, easy access to/from Heathrow). Staff was always very friendly, polite and extremeley helpful and rooms are tidy and warm in winter. I would however, urge the management for a drastic refurbishment as far as room furniture, walls, windows and corridors. For the time being I would recommend it only for very close friends, but with stating all the above reservations.

Booked a double room for two nights at relatively short notice as it was handy for an event we needed to attend. Room very tired but clean, no complaints about that, although the television did not work.

The major problem was the attitude of the staff. My partner's pyjamas went missing from the room during the day, likely bundled in with the bed linen. Accidents happen but on being informed of this the desk staff did not even apologise and gave a response along the lines that these things happen. After asking several times they finally called the housekeepers who stated that all linen had been sent off site for laundering but they would keep an eye out for the pyjamas.

We then asked what their response would be if they could not be found - this seemed to us the most likely outcome. A shrug was the only response. We pointed out that, accidentally or not, our property had been removed from our room without our permission - it would seem reasonable for them to either find and return these items or at least offer to replace them. We are awaiting further contact from them.

Although this episode remains unresolved the attitude of the desk staff on the two occasions we raised this issue was unacceptably dismissive and unhelpful. There is absolutely no chance that we will stay in this hotel or any of the associated hotels again.

We stayed here for 2 nights , it's an ideal location close to kings cross and near Russell square tube station, the breakfast was very nice with fresh juice and a good choice , the staff were friendly and eager to help. The rooms are what's expected from a 3 star hotel and were comfortable enough and for london spacious , I would recommend for anyone wanting to do the shows it's a good location

A comfortable hotel, albeit rooms are basic, but great value overall for the price. You are in central London remember. The full breakfast was very nice, but another veggie ingredient would be welcomed! A large comfortable lounge, with amazingly good prices for that nightcap! The staff were top notch. I spent three nights here while doing a 'memory tour' with my daughter and it was ideal. Will go back next time. My advice to those moaning reviewers is simple. If you are looking for Dorchester standards then go to the Dorchester!

Stayed here for one night while attending the Capital Cup final at Wembley. The hotel is in a very good location adjacent to Russell Square park and tube station. The room was a fairly basic single but was clean, comfy, quiet and ticked the boxes for me. It had a tea / coffee making facility but bizarely no shampoo supplied (that may have been a housekeeping oversight?). There was no safe in the room for valuables but there was a facility to leave stuff with reception. As the restaurant is currently being renovated breakfast was served in the adjoining / sister, President Hotel where I had stayed previously. The breakfast was of the all you can eat / buffet vafriety and was perfectly fine (although the coffee was as tastelss as 3 years previously :)

I would gladly stay here again and have no hesitation recommending as a budget hotel in a great location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Square
