“It's a dozen places in a dozen countries all in one square!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Apart from an amazing array of varied shops, Covent garden has a good selection of market stalls. There are street entertainers and open kitchens cooking a selection of food from just about any country you care to name. Comedians, jugglers and buskers are in abundance, especially on a Sunday. If you spend 4 0r 5 hours here you will think you have been to a dozen different countries. Just a great place.

“A place to walk without destination”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

I suggest a walk through Covent Garden. A neighborhood full of funky stores, small and cool restaurants and lots of young people. The highest point is the main square with street performers and a delightful area to have a beer and eat fish and chips - if you like, of course! Take the underground with the same name to start this path.

“Great hidden place!”

Spent a morning here and was not disappointed! Lots of little shops to go into (but be aware of the prices), coffee places, and nice areas to have lunch. Fun, busy atmosphere.

“Great atmosphere”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We strolled through Covent Garden one afternoon and were entertained by a musical trio in the courtyard - an unexpected pleasure. Covent Garden is full of surprises, with many different stalls, cafes, etc. Although it was busy, it was not crowded and we were able to wander at leisure.

“Lots to see, lots to do.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

You could spend hours in Covent Garden and we pretty much did.
During the afternoon yesterday we watched 3 street performers, roamed about several markets, and ducked in about a good few shops. It's a great place with plenty to see and experience. Including a lovely string quartet that were playing in the Courtyard of the Nauticalia shop inside the Apple Market.

We ended up spending about 25 minutes woo-ing and clapping at a bearded man in a leotard and nipple tassles. It was a great show and my husband actually got involved in helping the man mount his 8 foot unicycle. The performer managed to get a good few people in his audience involved and he had great banter.

Sit on the steps and watch the world go by...
