“Great museum experience”

Fantastic museum: display, interactive activities, simulators, great cafe (Upper Desk - if the menu is limited, quality offered is pretty good) and a very friendly staff. As other Museum (like the V&A), the shop offers a great range of quality items. if you are visiting London and want to avoid the tat available in some tourist shops, you'll find some really good and quite unique items there

“Hands on Transportation Museum”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

Loved the trains and the ability to sit in the antique trains. We were there on a holiday so there were many families. It is a great way for the children to learn about transportation and have the ability to climb about the trains and busses.

“Buses, trains, fun for kids”
Reviewed 22 May 2012

Conveniently located in Covent Garden, the transport museum offers a great view of the history of transport in London. It's particularly geared at the kids with activities to lead them through and engage. Lots of buttons to press, things to climb into, interactive exhibits and stamps to collect as you go through.
The gift shop is worth visiting as well.

“Excellent museum; especially for planners & transit fans”
Reviewed 21 May 2012

This museum has a great combination for all ages with lots of vehicles, interactive exhibits and interesting exhibits on historic and current London transit and its impact on city, suburb, and global development. Especially good for people investigating the complexity of development in terms of technology, financing, and more. Try to avoid field trip times if you are trying to read exhibits as it can be noisy. EXCELLENT gift, map, poster, and book shop with cafe/coffee shop attached. Interesting meeting point if you are with Covent Garden shoppers and want to learn more about navigating London.

“Surprisingly kept me there for hours”
Reviewed 20 May 2012

This is a very pleasant little museum. It draws people in who are mooching around Covent Garden market area - especially those bored with shops. I particularly recommend it for people with tired feet, bored with trailing around after their partner / children who are looking for 'that special pair of shoes' etc. For British people over about forty five it is a trip down memory lane, while for younger people and foreign visitors it is a fascinating glimpse of London in years gone by.
Most surprising to me was the array of books and posters etc available in the shop. I hate shopping, but there were things here you would never find available in shops elsewhere (a rarity in itself these days). I bought a beautiful calendar with prints of old railway posters (Settle Viaduct, Skegness, it's so bracing etc). Be careful though, I left it on a train on the way home!
A great couple of hours entertainment for all ages.
