With a late start to booking my travel, this was the closest hotel to the Excel convention center that I could get. Overall, it was average. Check in/out was super fast and easy. I felt my room was quite small with 2 twin beds just barely fitting and the bathroom felt like it was right out of a cruise ship. The view was the worst part, as it looked down onto a burnt out abandoned building. Breakfast was free and included cereal, toast, yogurt, apples, oranges, bananas, scrambled eggs, baked beans, and sausage. Free Wi-fi was very slow and I did spend 15 pounds to upgrade 1 day.
However, location worked out good as the canning street station is just a couple minutes walk. I would say it took me 25 minutes door to door from my hotel room to the conference sessions. Just a few tips for London newbies like myself, buy an oyster card at canning station or elsewhere because you cannot buy one at the Excel center. And eat at that Italian restaurant next door, it was fantastic! Not that you have a choice since there really isn't anything else around.More
