I did not expect anything particular from what I had assumed would be a 'Ryannair' approach to hotel rooms. I would normally stay in a more prestigious style of hotel but I was unable to book my usual hotel due to the Royal wedding. Therefore, I was delighted to find that the hotel is of a high quality finish throughout, spotlessly clean and the most helpful staff I have yet to experience. They have focused on the important aspects of hotel 'living' particularly the mini kitchen. Excellent on all counts and I have not hesitation in recommending this hotel.

After checking Tripadvisor for a hotel in this very expensive city that would not break our bank, I decided this one looked the most promising.

A block away from the Earl's Court tube station is this new personal favorite. Try reaching it by walking on Barkston Gardens, the walk is a lot nicer.

I've stayed at boutique hotels before, but at this price and compared to London hotel prices, I never dreamed of this kind of outcome. The lobby is elegant, modern and nicely decorated. The staff, all with matching suits and pink ties have ridiculously high customer service standards (to the point where they would stop anything they're doing or any conversation with a colleague if you approach them - they are really that committed).

The set up and decor are not far behind. There is functionality and minimalism combined with a sense of fancy. I would get the feeling of staying in what could easily be a pretentious and overpriced spot, but instead it's just cozy and inviting.

Yes, the rooms are not exactly spacious, but the beds are very comfy (we actually got a room with bunk beds) and have a small cooking area. The TV comes with free internet and the much talked about showers are indeed amazing - you'd want to have one of those at home.

If the service and reasonable price remain in this very well kept hotel, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Room Tip: main or lower floors to avoid lift or stairs

green hotel, provides fairshare coffee in the room - that kind of place. It's clean, quiet, in a well-off part of the town. Very close to the tube and lot of eating opportuinities. Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: book early...

Highly recommend Base2Stay!

Pros:
- 3-5 minute walk from Earl's Court Station (closest metro)
- great selection of places to eat + convenient stores
- peaceful neighborhood
- wonderful staff!
- super clean & modern room!
- free WiFi
- comfy bed

Cons:
- Shower leaked but we just used the hand towels to soak up the water

I would recommend Base2Stay if your looking for a convenient location at a great price!

Would definitely stay here again if we return to London.
