I recently bought an annual membership to the Prince Charles (£10.00- bargain!) and have seen three films there so far with about £3/£4 saved on tickets each time. It is a brilliant fringe cinema, constantly updated with the latest indie/ foreign movies- I saw Richard Ayoade's 'The Double' here (excellent film), I also attended the 'Breakfast Club' event (entitled to a free beer with every ticket- yay!) and most recently the Pulp Fiction 20th Anniversary event with a pre show dress up competition, Jack Rabbit Slims dance contest and a 13 minute long 35mm trailer (which included some very cringe and very funny old trailers for films- felt very authentic! :P). All of these events were excellently planned and put together, well worth the money, around £10- £15 for big events, can go as low as £1(memberships) for older films such as Kill Bill. They also do sing-a-long events, haven't been yet but heard great things! One of the best things about this place: the food and drink doesn't cost more than the ticket- yayyy! Around £4 for a large popcorn which nowadays is a bloody bargain at the cinema and the seats in both screens are very comfortable! One downside I would say would be that every time I've visited the staff look either bored or aren't very friendly- thankfully you only see them briefly but have always felt they are a little hostile to customers- but I'm being picky!
