Berwick street is great weekdays with its fruit&veg selection as well as pizza, burger/sandwich and juice stalls, which makes it a great lunchtime spot! There are also some nice coffee shops like Flatwhite or Foxcroft&Ginger. Try Yautcha for dimsums. Come here if you need to buy fabrics - there's a variety of decent shops(check Cloth shop).Berwick st is also great for record lovers.Within walking distance to Regent street and Covent Graden!

“Not just for the tourists”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

One of the few authentic street markets remaining in Central London, Berwick Street market is located in the heart of Soho. The fruit and vegetable stalls are always there, but many of the others come and go on various days. Look out for the bakery and the sausage stall, and if you are there around lunch time you can choose from a variety of cuisines, most of which seem to have a loyal customer base of regulars. You will also find a stall selling art/collectibles and one with leather goods, bags, etc. Closed Sundays.
We stayed in an apartment near here for one month and made good use of the markets. Don't ignore the eclectic collection of shops on either side of Berwick Street, they are also worth a look.

“Fabric Shops thats don't charge the Earth !”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

I have been to most places in the world with work or pleasure but always find myself back in London , it is so cool with the most edgy fashion scene in world , after much research I managed to find the coolest little fabric shop (I like to make my own clothes when i have time :-) in Old Street , its called T1 Fabric , it has loads of really nice things and does not charge a fortune like some of the more well know places , hope this review will help all of you budding designers find some nice interesting and edgy fabrics (and keep some change in your pocket ;-)

Berwick st. market is small and touristic but SOHO in general is great for culture , music ,bars, evening strolls and fun.
From Oxford st. take Berwick or Wardour streets down through China Town and wander on foot through the Trocodero Center and Pickadilly Circus then up to Leister square and the Covent Garden & market .

“Interesting fabric shops”
Reviewed 19 August 2010

Berwick Street is home to a couple of really interesting fabric shops, including two branches of The Cloth House. There are quite a lot of fabric shops in the surrounding area too, You'll also find record shops here too.
