Owner description: This studio has stood at the forefront of the recording industry for many years, which is particularly noteworthy as the recording studio used by the famous Beatles during the 1960s and 1970s.

Was a good thing to go to but a bit of a non-event in many ways. Must be very frustrating for drivers on the road as people stop for photos in the middle. One of those things that you just gotta do!

I think this attraction has a misleading title. It should be Abbey Road, rather than Abbey Road Studios. Abbey Road Studios, while a famous location, is in fact a working studio, a business, which means that it’s not open for visits or tours. (The ‘Book a Tour’ link on the TripAdvisor page is for a general tour of rock history locations by minivan, not a visit inside the studios). You can of course walk up and down the street, and cross what I imagine must be the most photographed zebra crossing in the world, but if you go to the Abbey Road Studios web site, there is actually a web cam running a live video feed of it!

So sense of history, yes, but other reasons for being there, not really.

If you love the Beatles then you have to recreate the historic pose on the crossing, don't forget to wave to the web cam. Must take time to read the graffiti outside the studio before heading to st John's wood

But only from the outside. No visit. No tour.
Please do not desturb the people that work there. Mostly overrated here. Have to write this although being a massive Beatles fan.

Because the Beatles' old recording studio is still a working business, my understanding is that one can only look at the building through the fence from the sidewalk. But at least one can spend a few minutes looking at the amazing amount of graffiti that covers the low white wall beneath the metal fence. Typical "such-and-such was here" interspersed with more topical phrases such as "let it be" and "all you need is love".
The studio sits all of 60 feet up the street from the famous crosswalk, reviewed seperately.
