The location of Hotel Verta is not fantastic if you want to be in the centre of London, however we got the bus to clapham junction and walked from there(about 15 minute walk)...so transport links weren't too bad.

On arrival at Hotel Verta, we were a bit earlier than the stated check in time, we were hoping to just leave our luggage and come back later to check in, however the receptionist allowed us to check in early. Edyta advised us we had been given a free upgrade to a river view room. We went up to our room and were amazed at how lovely it was...we had a fantastic view of the heliport.

We had been in the room for about 5 minutes when the phone rang and it was reception checking that we were happy with the upgrade and whether the temperature was ok for us. We were more than happy with both the upgrade and the temperature of the room. No more than 10 minutes later, there was a knock on the door and we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who had brought my husband some complimentary chocolate truffles and a drink as we were there to celebrate his birthday. This was a lovely touch and certainly impressed us both.

We left the hotel to go to a musical, to be honest this was when we realised that the hotel is further out than it seems. With the help of a couple of buses and a black cab we made it to the theatre 5 minutes later than the start time but thankfully they let us in.

On our return to the hotel later that evening, we arrived in our room to find the bed had been made up(display cushions and throw removed) and on the bedside table there were 2 mugs and hot chocolate sachets with some little biscuits for us to enjoy...again this was a nice touch.

The husband decided to run a bath and this was when we discovered the luxury bathroom range of Molton Brown!
We watched a bit of tv whilst we were in the bath and enjoyed a relaxing evening watching helicopters come and go (the triple glazing was very good, we could only just hear the helicopters and they were right outside our window)

The bed was comfy, our only complaint was that the pillows weren't very comfortable...we still managed to have a good nights sleep though.
In the morning, we both had showers and whilst it was lovely to have a fixed shower head and a handheld shower head the water pressure was not very good.

When we went downstairs for breakfast we were greeted warmly and shown to a table near the window. The waiter took our order for drinks and toast and then advised us to help ourselves to either the cooked option or the continental breakfast. My husband chose the cooked option and said it was satisfactory, but certainly not the best breakfast he has had, he felt the quality could've been a bit better. I opted for some bread and fresh fruit salad, this was very nice and refreshing. The breakfast room was quiet and relaxing - very clean, light and airy.

We checked out at around 10am as we had plans for the day, the hotel were happy to store our luggage for us whilst we enjoyed the rest of our city break. We returned later that day to collect our luggage and used the free shuttle to sloan square to begin our journey home.

Overall we had a great couple of nights at Hotel Verta and we are likely to return again in the future purely for a relaxing break.
On returning to London for another theatre break we will probably choose a more central hotel, purely for convenience and to allow us more time in the city.

Room Tip: River view rooms are amazing.

We stayed here last night - reception friendly nothing to complain and good shuttle service to Sloan Square - breakfast horrible - cooked mushrooms and sausages - loads of uncleared tables - not appetising at all.
Room full of gadgets but curtains would not open electronically - good bath products Molton and Brown - stuffy too hot and reception could not really alter the temperature in our room.
Good quality linen and a good sleep overall.
Reception displayed connected to Verta but I had problems with my android phone.
Website has not 'How to get there' feature and when travelling by train could be quite a walk - were not told about the shuttle service from Sloane Square.

Room Tip: To confirm if it is a river view room or not if you really want to see the River Thames.

Stayed over for jsut one night and as soon as we walked through the door, we were very impressed. The room was huge, it had everything you needed. The staff were lovely, very helpful. Although the location is out of 'London city', there are links to get to and from. Number 44 or 170 were just outside the hotel and stopped at victoria station, so location was great we and had no trouble what so ever. Also there were nice bars only a 25min walk away, excellent food and drink. Would definately recommend this hotel!

We booked a pre-paid overnight stay at Hotel Verta by Rhombus. The accommodations were nice and we found the pool/spa to be very relaxing. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The downsides: the location is a bit off the beaten path. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Sloan Sq on a time schedule (every hour or so) but no return. We had to take a public bus back from Victoria Station, which was no big deal except I prefer to be more centrally located. Also, the hotel only offers 30 minutes of complimentary internet before you must pay the daily rate. I don't know what the hotel charges per night but the expedia price is a decent value.

Room Tip: River view rooms over looking heliport are great and quiet!

What a great hotel - the location is surprising, especially if you walk in from, the not too picturesque, Clapham Junction station, but once inside, it's immaculate and the river view is stunning. We booked a riverside room and were gratefully upgraded when they discovered we were celebrating our Anniversary. The room was next to the heliport, the sight of the 'copters coming and going was amazing, but even more amazing was how you could barely hear them with the triple glazing.
The spa is the best I've been to - clean, innovative and tragically underused (a bonus!). The food was top class and the staff brilliant. It's such a laid back place, there are no pretensions here.
The biggest eye opener for me was that we spent three days here and only crossed the river to the centre of London once, and that was to catch the train home. There's a whole new London to discover around here - the Thames path takes you to some fabulous parks and a short journey away are Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and Hampton Court palace. All away from the dirty, busy city we normally have to deal with.
Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Room Tip: 20 minutes walk to Clapham Junction is fine with hand luggage but wouldn't advise the walk fully...

I stayed two nights at a very cheap price. I don't think the hotel is a true 5 star hotel (that I consider to be somewhere like the Ritz, or Claridges), but it was very welcoming, and the bathroom is impressive. I found the bed too soft for my liking as I have a back problem, but loved being able to walk along the riverside early in the morning. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, along the river as well. I didn't eat at all in the hotel as I prefer to bring my own breakfast into the room. You can catch a bus about 5 mins walk away, or the shuttle bus service to Sloane Square (but not back) works very well too. The staff were all very friendly. I was sad I didn't have time to use the spa at all, as it looked lovely. I would stay again.

Room Tip: They call their back rooms 'city view' but this isn't true.. you have a view of a tower...
