“Pizza was good, service?”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

This restaurant was weird. I ask what type of cheese comes on the four cheese pizza, the answer regular cheese. What does that mean? They ask you if you want bread we said no. When the bill came they charged for bread for two of us. They took it off the bill after I questioned it. The shrimp dish my husband order was terrible, I couldn't even tell it was shrimp it was just mush. Ordered a pizza as an appetizer it was very good. I ordered garlic chicken appetizer for my dinner it was better than my husband shrimp. Would only order pizza here and check your bill. Service was terrible.

“Uninviting Service, Overcooked Food, Good Ambiance ”
Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

Came here with our family as a recommendation by the owner of the place we were staying at. We looked up reviews and saw that people mainly said great food, but bad service, so we kind of knew what to expect.

When we arrived, the waiter seated us quickly and the restaurant wasn't full except in the front where people were enjoying drinks. We received our menus and were ready to order, so we called our waiter over. He started with drinks, but since we had 2 babies with us, we decided to decline drinks. He seemed annoyed, but cleared all the glasses except the water ones.

Then he left for a bit and came back and asked if we wanted bread. We said yes without realizing it would cost 1 pound each. We didn't complain, but it was a little strange when he dropped off 2 loaves of cold sliced bread with a side of butter and whole olives and then proceeded to leave again without taking our order.

There were 5 service people standing by the kitchen chatting, so we called our waiter over again and he told us to wait and then came over. We asked to split the check 3 ways, he asked the manager and then came back and said we couldn't. No reason why.

We proceeded with our orders, descriptions are next to them...
Grilled Cod (salty)
Poached Cod (Salty, but cooked well. Lots of bones.)
Pork Special (over cooked, needed a steak knife)
Chicken Special (dry. The waiter didn't even know that there was a chicken special until we pointed to the sign.)
Beef cubed dish (dry)

All the food wasn't very good. Plus for ambiance and food selection. Maybe we picked all the wrong things?

“long lines of Ref tables ideal for a office party, not 4 romance.”
Reviewed 12 February 2014

This is a huge industrial style restaurant with rows and rows of 14 seater tables, that can is needed be broken up, its perfect for the office christmas party, and alright for a couple.
FOOD
The food is pretty good but the reheat lots of it, the ribs were hot on the outside and cold inside, that is yuk, prawns cooked to order, so avoid anything that can be cooked earlier, meat dishes etc.
HUGE WINE GLASS
most generous glass of wine I have ever been given , and excellent value, and quality too.
STAFF
friendly family atmosphere.
PORTIONS
are simply very large.
BREAD and OLIVES
these are offered without mention of cost….as it turns out it's only a quid. but still.

OVERALL
perfect for a cheap and cheerful evening, boot for special occasions on your trip to London, and perfect for large crowds of hen or stags, of office nights,

excellent value.

our bill was 54 Pounds and we had guessed 64 , so top points for value.
