The Ibis Greenwich has an excellent location. The Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, Greenwich Park and many good restaurants are all close by. The Thames Clipper from Greenwich pier to Westminster is a brilliant way to see London by river and takes 30 mins. The O2 is a few mins away by ferry in the other direction.
Dear Jane, Thank you for your positive feedback. My team will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed yourselves at the Ibis London Greenwich and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind regards, Carina Meijide
We booked the Ibis for an overnight stay whilst attending a wedding reception at the Maritime college on a saturday night. The price was £109.00 for the room excluding breakfast which is available at an extra cost.
The hotel is located right in the centre of Greenwich,a five minute walk from the station and a ten minute walk to the college, museum and the Cutty Sark and very close too for the shops, pubs, restaurants and markets.
The hotel has two floors with lift access, our room was on the second floor with no view although i think you may get a view from the rooms to the front of the hotel which really would only look out onto the main road.
The rooms were basic but clean,a good shower and bath, tea and coffee making facilities and a t.v. also a hairdryer.
All in all it,s a well located hotel for visiting Greenwich itself or even to get into the centre of London or the nearby o2 arena, the staff were friendly and we really could not fault it.
Dear reviewer, Thank you very much for staying at Ibis London Greenwich. I am very pleased to read that you have enjoyed the Greenwich location and that the staff looked after you. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit in the near future.
Kind regards, Carina Meijide
We chose this hotel as it is so central to sight-seeing Greenwich; and because it has a private car-park. This latter is an expensive option (£20 per night) but is under cover and appeared to be safe.
The room was typical Ibis, so we knew how it worked. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, as expected. The new, "Ultimate comfort" bed was a disaster, though. Even with the air-con turned low, we were still too hot in bed. And we found it uncomfortable. So, it's not our "ultimate".
Continental breakfast in the next-door "Café Rouge" was very poor value for money (even in London). We have had much better in in-house Ibis restaurants.
Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback following your recent stay with us. I am pleased that you enjoyed the Greenwich location however dissapointed to read that you found our beds uncomfortable. The bedding in the ibis family is generic and is standardised for the network. Please accept my sincere apologies if we did not meet your expectations. Ibis are always looking for new ways to improve our product I will be sure to include your comments in the next product review. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and I do hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. Kindest regards, Carina Meijide
