The hotel was recently refurbished and is now modern. Our room was small, but most hotel rooms in Europe are small. It even had an outlet for our US electronics!! The bathroom was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. And the location! Perfect! One block away from the Covent Garden underground, blocks away from theaters and Leicester Square. If ever in London again, this will be my first choice!

Dear lucernoPuertoRico,
We were delighted that you took the time to express your feedback on our hotel, as you mention the hotel has been recently refurbished and after a £15 million investment we have the boutique creation that is the Radisson Edwardian Mercer Street hotel. I have passed on your comments to our Head Housekeeper Marlene who thanks you for your comments in the cleanliness of the rooms.
We look forward to welcome you back on your next visit to London.

Bit difficult to find as there are no Raddisson flags or signature outside the building so look for the sign "Mercer Street hotel". Stayed for the weekend, and this is a great hotel for a short stay. Rooms slightly smaller, very nice and clean, large tv with DVD player, (meny is also only to be found by checking the television). Bathroom nice and all amenities there, everything was new. Cups and coffee and thee equipment, with fridge.(empty)
Upon arrival received proseco and strawberries as a part of their summer promotion. The only downside is that pillows are very hard, beds bit soft (or worn out). Great reception service, although I do not much care about reception so long it is swift and accurate (as I will won't be spending much of my time at reception desk when visiting a place)

Great, newly refurbished hotel in a fabulous location. Cannot say a bad word about the rooms or decor. We were staying in a deluxe room and did find the first room we went to a bit on the small size. When i queried this we were informed there were larger deluxe rooms but they weren't yet ready - we did arrive at 11am so this is fair enough (it also took about 15 mins to be checked in as there were two trainees who kept having to ask the experienced receptionist). What i would have expected is for reception to offer to move us to a bigger room and move our luggage whilst we were out for the afternoon - we were offered nothing so i had to ask for it to be done. When we returned at 4.30pm the receptionist had finished her shift and had not passed on the message so i had to explain everything again. This was despite assurances that the recpetionisit would not forget. Anyway we got a better room (with a poor view) but the TV didn't work so we had to wait 20 minutes for that to be repaired before we knew if we'd have to move rooms or not. The pillows were very hard and big - so if you like feather pillows bring your own. After all that, everything else was excellent. The breakfast in the morning in our room was faultless and is well worth the package we had (£210 for a night including breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco). When we checked out it was the lady who was on the previous day - she didn't ask how our stay had been - probably a good thing.

Room tip: Ask for a larger deluxe room, otherwise you'll get a smaller one........

I stayed for five nights and this hotel was the best choice I've made in an urban hotel in a long time. Located on the Seven Dials and one block from the Palace Theater, a five minute walk to Old Compton Street and Soho, and both Covent Garden and Leicester Square tube stations, you cannot beat the location. The rooms are completely renovated and everything is new, including bathrooms. The standard room I had was smallish, but it met my expectations for the rate paid. Twice daily housekeeping service and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to those seeking to stage themselves in the Covent Garden / Soho area for a London visit.
