Stayed on a Saturday night and had dinner booked at the Shard.

Arrived late morning on Saturday and checked in. One of our group booked 4 double rooms and explaining who had booked and that I wasn't that person did take a couple of swings!

Lunch in the Quarter bar was great, but again it took a good few goes to get the staff to understand what we wanted.

The room was great, well set out and in good keeping. The bed was very soft and nice and warm.

We were on the 4th floor. Others in our group were on the 5th floor. On the Sunday morning the 5th floor lost power for a few hours, but it was restored by 8am or so.

All in all, a great place. The staff will come and go, but it shouldn't take so much effort to check in or order a burger!

But we'll be back.

Excellent location convenient for transport links and in an interesting area, plenty to see and do within walking distance as well. Hotel staff very helpful and found the hotel itself a quiet and restful atmosphere, a haven from the busy streets near by when you want to unwind. The building also has character in contrast to very modern hotel buildings these days. Overall really enjoyed the stay and would stay here again in the future for busines or on a London visit with family.

This is a great hotel. Extremely good value for money and lovely environment. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with plenty of storage and surface space. Breakfasts are great. The choice is a cut above many other 4* hotels in London. This is one of my favourite London hotels and the location is great too. Well worth repeated visits. You won't be disappoinnted.

stayed here last weekend, and wished we could have stayed for longer.Ideally situated for the station/underground, and attractions on the south bank and the tower of London. The staff were excellent, even providing us with black pudding with our breakfasts ( not on the menu)and the bed was the best we have ever slept in at various hotels around the world.
We stayed on the 4th floor facing the street, but heard no noise whatsoever,so will definitely be returning here on our next visit to the capital.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floors, if you prefer it a little quieter.

Perfect location -the staff were excellent bar is lovely especially now with Xmas tree and decs - unfortunately I was unwell on day we were to come home and even though they were so busy allowed us to keep room for extra hour or two at no charge. Rooms were quite compact but very contemporary and more than adequate. Breakfast was well worth extra would definately go back to this hotel very soon - highly recommend

Arrived by train, station 2min walk, check-in was painless, given all information needed inc free Wi-Fi password. 2nd floor twin room at back, big enough, free safe & Tea/coffee. Mini bar available. Ate in restaurant , bit expensive but very nice.
Breakfast was included, cereals, toast, hot food and pastries aplenty.
Ate in Quarter bar next night, more reasonably priced & again food was excellent.
Staff all very friendly, room made up all 3 days, no problems encountered.
Walking distance to Tower Bridge but Tube there to reach further afield.Would stay again, if got reasonable price!

Room Tip: rooms at the back can't hear the trains, although I can't say if they are annoying elsewhere...
