very negative impression from staff and room. Instead of booked room with private shower & toilet we recieved the room without mentioned facilities.
Toilet terrible & dirty was only upstairs (on our floor it was closed).
Will never stay there again and don't recommend it.

That's really all i can say, that was the only positive thing about the room. A lesson learnt i think, if they ask for the money up front, there is definitely a reason! in this case, if i'd seen the room before hand, i'd have run a mile!

i was very worried about staying here as i didnt check reviews until 2 days before i was supposed to go and they were all very negative, but the hotel was actually really good. i paid quite cheap for it and it was in excelelnt location! in walking distance of chealsea and a tube station!! staff were very helpful, when arrived we were given a key to let ourselves in so we could stay out all night, room was quite clean, carpet a bit dirty and blacony was applaing dirty but we didnt go out there. had a shared bathroom, clean. didnt use the shower as i dont like shared showers but thankfully only stayed a night. in a great expesnsive looking area :)bad air condition, either really warm or quite cold but beds quiet comfy and it was quite quiet. overall, good little hotel for a quick travle stay :)

Room Tip: choose a room towards front, good views of expensive cars as in nice expensive area

Do not stay in this dump, no hoover or other cleaning implement has touched most of the surfaces in this place, including the disgusting breakfast-room.
Escecially be warned of Room Nr.9, where I had the pleasure to stay last week. A hovel of the first degree!

Room Tip: My tip for you: choose a room in another hotel, I beg you please!

I was worried about staying here after reading the reviews, however my partner and I decided to give it a go. We were very suprised. The room we had was in the annexe at 47 Cambridge St. It was completely redecorated, clean and tidy. All the bedding was new. OK the room wasn't large and the ensuite was small. We had an issue with the lock on our door, called down to reception and the guy arrived to fix it within 5 mins. With regard to the staff they were all friendly and more than helpful. I am of the opinion that the way you treat people often reflects in their attitude to you. In conclusion I would say, The room had eveything we needed, clean bed, shower and loo, TV and tea and coffee. If I had wanted luxury I would have stayed at the Dorchester but this hotel is ideal for a short sight seeing stay in London. Oh yes breakfast was basic continental, cereals, toast, OJ and roll and the coffee was good.

Room Tip: Ask for 47 Cambridge st I think it's referred to as the annexe.
