The Grapevine Hotel
Ranked #438 of 566 London B&B and Inns
Reviewed 5 December 2013

Cheap for London, but still not cheap based on the appalling state of the room.
So small I could barely close the door (which offered little security and I could see through to the outside landing). The toilet was so small that you had to be a circus contortionist to sit down and use it. Always smelled damp.
No wardrobe, only a short bar in the corner with a few hangers. No shelves, so most of my belongings stayed in the suitcase for the duration. No headboard for the bed and 6” space so that your pillows could fall down the back.
Room was way too hot and you couldn't regulate the radiator. I had to keep the roof fan on all night. 50% of light bulbs worked.
Didn't even bother with the breakfast... I went elsewhere to be assured of something decent.
Unless you really only want a bed and don’t care about anything else, I would avoid.

Rooms are very small but quite clean. Bathroom was extremely small, but as long as it had a shower with hot water it was ok.
Considering that I paid about 100 GBP for a single room for 3 nights I think it was ok for the price.

The room was small but clean, the shower was difficult to control red hot one minute then cold the next. The breakfast was good but some guests were greedy by taking the Danish pastries therefore not enough for some guests only to find they didn't eat them anyway!!!!!Was a good location and the hotel staff let you keep your luggage there after check out. For the price would stay again.

Rooms are too small you cant move inside. The hotel needs renovation. Had water dripping from the ceiling in our room from the bathroom of the room above us. Extremely dirty. Breakfast poor. If it wasn't for the location which is near the station there would be nothing positive to write.

Room Tip: Just don't book here

This is a typical homely budget priced hotel, rather small single rooms but only minutes from Victoria coach station and a bit further to Victoria station. Very pleasant staff and a great buffet breakfast.
