I visit London at least yearly and having lived in Golders Green, I an very fond of the community and its amenities. The Anchor House is half a block from the GG Tube station, making dashes to the West End or the City simple on the Northern Line. Anchor House is not opulent by any means but is comfortable, especially when remembering the price is reasonable by comparison. I have stayed here several times over the past 10 years and they have done some major refurbishments which have benefited the dining room and the guest rooms significantly, The included continental breakfast is substantial. Nearby is a Sainsburys Supermarket and Golders Green is just full of many very fine dining establishments.

Room Tip: I've stayed in the large family sized rooms and the small efficiency singles. The single room i...

We needed to spend two nights in London between Christmas and new year. Lucky we found this little gem.

Only a minutes walk to the tube station. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Golder's Green is quite a nice, safe location, one I would stay at again for sure.

Anchor House is an excellent place to stay. As far as cleanliness goes this place is right up there with anything I've seen. It was spotless in every regard.
Staff were fantastic. Extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Overall very reasonably priced.

the place had zero personality. the staff were cold and totally unhelpful. the response to question at the desk, was a turn of the head and make believe we didn't exist.
the place was barely passable clean. extra towels were an issue.
exterior was clean and inviting.
location is excellent

Never saw such a tiny room!!!!! fits only a bed. not even enough room for our bags. the A/C didn't work, absolutely no view even though promised, no workdesk, Took 15 minutes until we had hot water,Didn't change towels. The worst part was that the staff was very unpleasant and shrugged us off when we asked for help. never again!

Rooms are very compact but nice and clean and perfect for a weekend sightseeing stay. A two minute walk from the tube station, easy to get to from M1, and lots of restaurants close by. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here next time I'm in London
