The location is great for using the tube. The bed was hard and the pillows flat. We stayed downstairs in room G8 which has it's own private enclosed sitting area outside which was nice. Didn't expect to have to leave the key with the hotel each time we went out which made us a little nervous but I guess that is standard as we had to do the same thing with our hotel in Edinburgh. The food was too expensive for what it was. Ordered a chicken sandwich which said it came on a toasted baguette. When it came, it was a few pieces of grilled chicken between 2 slices of wheat bread with nothing else on it. Though the chicken was flavored well. The fish and chips were what you would find in the states. Two small pieces when over there it is standard to be a fillet of fish. The service was good. The staff was pretty helpful and polite. The place could use some sprucing up, there was peeling paint but since the place was pretty clean it was easily overlooked. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you want your own private place to sit outside and relax stay in room G8, was such a happy surpri...

Me and my husband just stayed at The London Elizabeth for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, we stayed for 3 nights. We had a great time and the Hotel is fantastic. The Staff are very friendly and really welcoming. Rooms are great, very spacious and very cosy. The location of this Hotel you could never complain about, being right oposite Hyde Park you are really handy for near enough everywhere that you want to go to. Cant wait to go back!!!!

In general we were happy with this one! Stayed for three nights, had rooms in the fourth floor. Long staircase but there was a small elevator too, ok to use it for example with the luggage. Luckily there was a fan in the room, could imagine that it will be rather hot up there in the summer. Room and bathroom size ok, room cleaned and towels changed every day - very good! There was also a closet and a nice table and chairs in the room. Building in general was nice, old and beautiful. Naturally a bit dated somewhere but because it still had a nice British touch everywhere and because cleanliness was good, it did not bothered us.

Breakfast was really good, good variety of choises available, even fruit salad, which I personally appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff - specially lovely ladies at the reception made us feel welcome. Thank you for them!

Location of the Hotel Elizabeth is unwinnable, easy to reach (either Paddington or Lancaster Gate underground stations) and explore the city from here. E.g. Oxford Street, Notting Hill area or Buckingham palace (just to name a few) are easy to reach also by foot. Right next to Hyde Park, easy to go for a morning run there! Also just right in the corner there is a very nice pub "Swan" with so lovely atmosphere and nice staff there as well.
There is a bar also in the hotel and nice rose garden in the backyard too. Could imagine that it is very nice in the summer when all the roses are in bloom. Perhaps try afternoon tea there next time.
Compared to some other hotels in the area this one is far better. Cleanliness, staff attentiveness and quality in general was at good level. Only con is the traffic noise that may disturb a bit. I warmly recommed this hotel and will definately return.

Hotel very comfortable and just 5 min walk to paddington station. Staff very helpful. Room clean and average size. Breakfast is very good. Lots of restaurant just 2-3 blocks away. Cons: if u stay in the room facing the road it's quite a bit loud. Otherwise this hotel is good. Will stay here again.
