I had booked a single room and was initially given a very small room on the ground floor, facing the street. The noise from people walking past and the cars was really bad and I knew I would be unable to sleep in the room so I asked to change. I was given a room on the third floor which was even smaller than the first one, but much friendlier and facing the back. Despite the lack of space, the room was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay there.

My two main complaints would be that there is only one small lift which was very slow and that the wireless is quite unreliable, which was a pain as I needed to do some work while I was there. Also, the breakfast is limited but fine for a few days.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back, ideally a bit higher up. The street gets busy with party-goers at ni...

I just do not know where to start with this excuse for a hotel. I stayed here on business and was appalled by the grotty condition of it. Filthy, unkempt and tatty with no regard to hygiene or cleanliness. The rooms were cramped, tiny and very tired with dust and mould throughout and the service was shocking with staff speaking unintelligible broken English and not really interested in any comments.
I am astounded that Best Western have put their name to a Hotel of this standard and this tells me that they condone the standards and service. Therefore I am afraid it is the end of any association with Best Western in the future for this regular traveller!!!

A week stay on work /business went off well with friendly staff in the Reception and the Restaurant who were attentive and goes that extra mile when you are in need of something. A word of thanks to the GM, Mary as well. Small but well kept clean rooms. Breakfast can be improved with variety.

For the price you pay it's good value, friendly staff, nice and clean, comfy beds and a brilliant shower the best yet for me,and the full breakfast was of good value. The down side, room was a bit cramped,it was stuffy and the windows only opened about 4" so no air was circulating, and the breakfast room was too cramped,it could do with a lick of paint in a light colour. Overall a nice stay, will stay again.

Dispite of the location and staff i would not visit again.
With westbourne grove, portobello market and public transport within walking distance the location is great. Butt the building is in dire need of a restauration and the rooms need remoddeling. Although the room i stayed in was so small they can beter turn it in to a broom closet. If you want to travel to London i can highly recommend the area but for the rates the Best western charges you can do a lot better.

I'd booked this hotel through a travel agent. The room was small with a single bed but it was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and it was handy having a guest computer which was free to use. There was a good selection for breakfast. It's best feature is the location. Close to Kensington Park and 2 tube stations. The area was quite nice as well. As a woman travelling on my own, I felt safe going back to the hotel in the early evening. There is also a good selection of pubs & restaurants to eat at. I would definately stay again.
