We stayed here from 25th-30th of December and I should admit that this hotel feels like home. The staff are friendly, especially Ravi. Our rooms are smaller than what we think, yet comfortable. The location is superb, near from the underground station, bus stop, restaurants, supermarkets, shops, and of course the Kensington Garden.

Some improvement in the bathroom would be great, like the soap and other such things.

Dear Nadytia K,

Thank you for the time taken to leave this great review for us.

I know that the staff will be very appreciative of your comments and I have passed them on to the team.

I was pleased to read that you enjoyed our super location, a few minutes away from transport links to get around the city. Kensington Gardens are a delight and we are very lucky to be within walking distance. many of our guests take a stroll through the greenery during their stay.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the bathroom facilities. We are always looking to improve our facilities and so have taken a note of this suggestion.

W hope that we will see you again soon at the Byron Hotel.

With Kind regards,

Stuart Smith - revenue & eCommerce Manager

We stayed at the Byron Hotel for our first night in London just before Christmas as it was nice and close to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Upon arrival we were a little bit taken back by how old the hotel was but once your eyes adjust, you start to see the adorable characteristics that this hotel is filed with.
I found the staff quite accomodating with our typical tourist questions.
The hotel is very tight and windy so probably a little nerve racking for anyone who is claustrophobic or prone to getting lost.
The room could definitely do with a few little upgrades and a lick of paint. Tried to use the iron press for my trousers/pants and didn't have much luck.
The bathroom was very outdated and not the most functional.
All this being said, if like us you were just using the room to sleep and spent most of your time out and about, this hotel will do for you.
It was clean, free wifi, staff were helpful and the location is perfectly in walking distance to the underground.
On a positive note, be sure to wake up for the breakfast. Plenty to chose from in a very quaint little room. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Dear thejacobpaulgoss,

Thank you for leaving such a detailed review after your stay with us before Christmas.

I was delighted to read that on the whole you had a great stay with us and found the location convenient. We are lucky to be located to two underground stations as well as within walking distance of Oxford Street and beyond.

I was particularly pleased that you appreciated some of the historic quirks of the hotel which in part dictates the windy layout. The hotel is due to have a refurbishment in coming months and we will most certainly be retaining as many of the original features as possible as well as enhancing a number of them.

It was great to hear how clean you found the hotel and how helpful you found the staff. Your comments have been passed to the Byron team who will be encouraged by your words.

I hope that we will be able to welcome you back to the Byron Hotel in the future when you are next in London.

With kind regards,

The hotel is a bit dated but the staff is friendly, the room is clean with a good size bathroom and shower and the breakfast is simple but tasty. The location is great, next to 2 subway stations right next to Hyde Park. I would definitely stay there again.

Dear BudgetTraveller27,

Thank you for taking time out to leave us such a nice review.

The historic building that house the Byron is full of character which we hope to retain in the refurbishment plans that we are looking at. Despite the age of the building, I am happy that you found your room to be clean and the bathroom and shower of a good functional size.

It is difficult to please everyone with breakfast as we have such an international clientele. We constantly review the offering to make sure that are giving our guests the best possible start to the day by providing a good breakfast at reasonable prices. We also offer a full English breakfast for those guests wanting something a little more substantial.

Given the amazing location which gives multiple choices of travel around the city, we would be more than happy to welcome you back to explore the parts of London that you missed this time around. Do make sure that you book directly with us to receive the best possible rate and room choices.

With best regards,

I spent 5 nights in Hotel Byron early October 2017 with a friend and had a very nice stay.

Location: Perfect; a quiet side street but just a stone throw's away from Kensington Gardens. Two underground stations (Queensway & Bayswater) a few blocks away and a bus stop even closer. We used the bus 94 a lot, very handy if going to Piccadilly Circus.

Hotel: Very nice, a charming old little building. Clean and comfortable and had a lift which is not always a given in old hotels.

Room: Tidy, a bit small perhaps, but not too bad. Two women with all the luggage and shopping bags could manage. :) There was a safe in the room and also a small kettle for making coffee & tea. Wifi in the room was very good.
The only negatives I'd say about the room was the fact that the bathroom door would not stay open (something with the door pump) in order to let the steam out after showering so the bathroom was quite damp all the time. We used to put something between the door so it wouldn't close and we could "ventilate" the moisture out. There was actually some mold in the corners of the shower - no wonder. Also the towel rack was stone cold and we couldn't figure out if it could be switched on.
The window frame of our room was a bit loose on one side and it made some noise during our first night but we put a few tissues between it and it stopped.

Breakfast: Quite a good selection and I very much appreciated that they served coffee & tea to the table and also toast.

Staff: Very friendly.

Overall a good experience and I would happily stay there again.

Dear Ariel-Scarlett,

Thank you greatly for the detailed review that you have taken the time to write. So often guests do now let us know how their stay was and it is invaluable information which will allow us to improve our services and accommodation.

We are absolutely blessed with a great located, just 5 minutes to the first of two tube stations putting you to within 15-20 minutes of a number of major attractions (Thanks for the tip about the 94 bus!)

We can only apologise for the technical issue with your bathroom door. We are reviewing the bathroom ventilation to make sure that all rooms have proper ventilation. This will form part of a refurbishment plan that is currently being discussed.

We are constantly evolving the breakfast at the hotel and so your feedback such as yours is useful to help decide on enhancements and comments like yours will help drive changes but also remind us the little touches that are appreciated and should be retained.

I am so pleased that you would happily stay with us again. We would be delighted to welcome you back. Don't forget to book directly with us to secure the best possible price and choice of room.

With kind regards,

Stuart Smith - Revenue & eCommerce Manager
